Jamel Dean Out For Slimy Saints Game

Cornerback Jamel Dean
Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians said only one player will not play Sunday night against the slimy Saints.
And that player is starting corner Jamel Dean. Arians said Dean is still suffering from “wooziness,” Arians’ description on Monday. He hadn’t practice all week.
Arians stated Dean is not in concussion protocol of any sort because doctors do not believe he is concussed. Arians added doctors are still confused what is causing Dean’s “wooziness” issue. (Vertigo?)
Arians did give a thumbs-up to Playoff Lenny, who apparently suffered an ankle injury against the Bills. Playoff Lenny did practice today and Arians expects him to be available Sunday night.

This guy is probably made of glass. I can’t remember a single game where he didn’t get hurt. It’s unbelievable. We need another healthy corner.

Dean was not cleared medically by drs to play ohio state cause of multiple knee injuries he sustained in high school
So He went to auburn and sustained another bad knee injury
Maybe some of these injuries now in his head . Got to play aggressive/ physical in nfl unless you are a freak like deion
He has all the size and talent in the world but maybe its time to move on
“Wooziness” but no concussion and those concussion protocols are no joke
Coaches even said earlier in year he needs to learn to play nicked up
We need all hands on deck vs saints. This will be a tough game. They have owned us for two long.

Fargin great news. This is always a poor matchup for the Bucs anyway, the Saints always have a way to get in the Bucs’ heads and physically dominate us. Not looking forward to this game at all.

For what it’s worth, vertigo is a moderately common symptom following a concussion. I have no understanding as to what they test on a concussion protocol, but it might not be a perfect science.

Well stated stpete! It’s hard to get excited about this guy returning week to week. He never seems to be healthy.
Thankfully, SMB and CD have returned. I’d be really concerned if not.
The Bucs have a lot of draft capital invested in DBs and it seems like it’s not enough. Even with being 10-3, DB should be a focus in the offseason.

Oh, he’s concussed alright. A non-diagnosed “illness?” There’s a lot we don’t know about CTE. I’m sure any other known illness would have been diagnosed by now.

If Payton tested positive for covid-19, doesn’t develop symptoms, end up in the hospital or on a ventilator, then it absolutely means the chemicals and microchips work on preventing death and hospitalization, so try and not to be a political muppet and cause problems. Vaccines are only partially protective about contracting and transmitting the virus – they prevent serious outcomes. Right now, in Florida, approx 88% of people in ICU for covid are unvaxxed. No one cares to hear your politics so stick to football. If you are not vaxxed, I hope you don’t get covid-19 – it isn’t pleasant and can be deadly.

Hey JB …….I have already had it twice and will Not pssssify my body with unknown chemicals. I don’t take any drugs. Not even tylenol for a headache. My body came with its own immune system, surprise!
You can take something that has ZERO long term effects study if you choose. That is your right. People that are fully vaxxed are catching it again at an Alarming rate!!! I see no advantage for me. The only vaccines I have ever taken were Polio and Smallpox when I was a kid. No flu shots no anything. Funny how I am more healthy than ANYone I know that rushes to drugs to solve their ‘problems’

All I can say is I am glad SB and SOE aren’t in charge of anything besides themselves. Covid is a serious disease for a lot of people but not everyone. It’s the perfect potency for controversy. Vaccines prevent serious outcomes for it generally. I love how people aren’t “political” but they also add on some let’s go Brandon garbage or Trump sucks garbage or conspiracy theory and then try and defend themselves as unbiased and fact based. I’m just saying focus on Bucs football. Like I have been since ‘76. I don’t care who you vote for.

Obviously he needs an mri of his head and neck with no movement artifact throughout entire scan. have to assume he has gotten that by now. If he had any kind of stroke it would show up. He needs an extensive ear examination. He basically needs a top of the line neurologist, football takes a back seat till the playoffs for this kid.

Vertigo is a known post-Covid issue. It hit me hard when I was recovering from it last year and it can persist intermittently for a long time after full recovery. It’s definitely a thing. I feel badly for Dean if that’s his issue.
