The not-so-mighty Bills have a weak pass rush and now one of their big front men is ailing.
Starting defensive tackle Star Lotulelei, whose two sacks are two behind the team lead, did not practice today because of a toe injury.
Lotulelei, 32, used to be a bit of an ironman, but issues after a COVID case lingered this season following a September groin injury, and now he’s got the bad toe.
Joe’s not rooting for injuries, but Joe will take whatever breaks come the Bucs’ way.
Joe can’t figure out exactly how the Bills, already down their Pro Bowl cornerback, are going to stop the Tom Brady passing machine. Heck, Joe doesn’t know how any team will shut it down when the Bucs are healthy like they are now.

How exactly can you characterize the Buc’s as “healthy” when Devon White and JPP are obviously playing WAY below their capability due to injury and AB also is injured?

Never fear. Bucs will continue to play down to their competition for thd majority of the game and let Josh Allen run down their throats. Hopefully they will employ a spy on him and keep him contained.

Tend to think it’s more about how an opponent matches up against YOU rather than how they matched up against previous opponents. Bills are 7-5, but after every loss this season they’ve rebounded with a win. They’re well in the hunt for a playoff spot, they still sport the league’s #2 defense, and it’d be foolish to think that we’ll just pummel them like we did the Bears (38-3).

They are not going to play down to completion bills are a solid team and very dangerous at the moment because they can’t afford to lose anymore games. Bills pass rush hasnt been very good but the secondary is still very good even with the injury to their top cb they have some elite safeties should make for a good game.

5-0 AB isn’t healthy. If we can stay healthy on offense with his return going into the playoffs, this could be the one time I don’t say “defense wins championships.”

Lenny & Rojo should have good games.. The Titans , Colts & Pats all beat the Bills by Running.. there should be plenty of film for BL to study.

This game is going to be like the Colts game only thing is that if the offense takes 4 series to score we won’t win. Bills defensive front 4 aren’t is strength but the back 7. Brady will need a game like Atlanta minus the pick 6 because the defense will have a hard time keeping the Bills in check. Tough game but very winnable because of the offense.

The Bills are good, 5th in scoring, 2nd in points allowed. They play hard.
Some Bucs will be sore Monday. Good thing Bucs have the home-field, I say.

This is a bad match up for the Bucs. They have Diggs, Sanders, Beasley & Knox us Allen that has a great arm. I don’t see how Bucs with a weak secondary how they can win. I am not trying just to be negative, I just don’t see it. This has to be a shoot out in order to keep up.

The Most sacks Star has ever had was 4 in 2016, with the Panthers, who drafted him number one.
He has been on the decline ever since 2016, perhaps that is the reason Carolina let him go ?
I am not as concerned as some are here with the Buffalo Bills.
I was much more worried about the Colts!

The way the Bucs are playing at home and they way the bills are hurting I think the point spread looks favorable. Then again I think that before every time I lose money.

It sounds like Pete is saying that talking about opponent’s injuries improving your chances of victory is bad carma. Not saying your wrong, Pete, just my take on your post.
Question for Joe. I think I have heard or read that Buffalo is ranked first in total defense. Do I have that right? Ranked first despite a weak pass rush?
