“Let’s Find A Little Heart”

Tom Brady speaks

With thousands of Bucs fans in Atlanta to watch the game today, if felt like Joe had eyes and ears on the field based on messages coming into JoeBucsFan.com world headquarters.

Midway through the third quarter, Joe heard from a trusted dude near the Bucs’ sideline, where Tom Brady was rallying the troops with the Bucs clinging to a 20-17 lead with about 6 minutes remaining.

Brady’s volume was cranked and the words were unmistakable: “Let’s go! Let’s find a little heart!”

It’s just a one-liner, but Joe finds it telling. The Bucs thwarted the Falcons on their opening drive of the second half behind a Pierre Desir strip, but the offense followed it up with quick 3-and-out. The Bucs defense managed to force a punt after an 11-play Falcons drive, and now it was time for Brady to lock down the game.

The Bucs needed their championship heart to emerge in that moment. Brady knew it. He asked for it. And he got it.

He had to make up for the one bonehead play of his game!

  2. Beeej Says:

On that day his heart grew THREE sizes

  3. Bird Says:

Still cant believe they called that timing screen right before half. Pick 6 crap
Never run that play again based on down and distance and time on clock.

  4. JGhotier Says:

    Beeej,

    😂😂😂 nice

  5. Coburn Says:

That pick 6 is in coaches as much as anything. Up 10 no time to really scofe. Just kneel and go into half with the 10 pts. Only bad things to possibly happen there. Obviously coaches didn’t throw the pick, but the situational football wasn’t there

  6. JimmyJack Says:

Bird you cant belueve they called it. I cant believe Brady threw it.

Brady was doing a fantastic job reading the defense up to that point.

  7. DoooshLaRue Says:

    Amen Bird.
    That was a ridiculous concept.

  8. Cobraboy Says:

That pick was classic “no risk it, no biscuit.”

It’s easy to criticize in 20/20 hindsight.

Sometimes the other guys make plays, too.

Why is this a constant theme every game? Are we that over confident that we play sloppy football knowing that eventually we’ll take the lead and never look back? We saw this with the Chiefs last season, but the AFC was weak, and we wont have it so easy against the Packers or Cards. The tackling is especially concerning, we must be one of the worst teams in the league in that stat. It’s time for Bowles to clean it up.

On the bright side, it was nice to see a corner (Davis) that actually turns his freaking head around so he’s not flagged for PI over and over.

  10. Listnfrmafar Says:

Yet Davis was. 3rd & 14 and you hold five yards down the field? Why?

  11. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Coburn

I would’ve rather seen scooter come on for 1 shot down the field ala Green Bay, than another check down screen that every Defense is now looking for, obviously.

    Was scooter even active today?

  12. Wild Bill Says:

When you are 10 points up, deep in your own end of the field and there is only seconds left in the half, you don’t throw passes. Run the fing clock out! That was Bradys most embarrassing moment this year by far. H… tack a sack and punt even. Brain fart or over confidence for sure.

  13. Coburn Says:

Agreed jmark. With what 22 second left that’s the only real chance at anything happening in that situation. I still think best decision given the lack of time and being up you take what you have, but it’s worse that you can a play that has no chance of getting points beofre half and only had things can happen.

  14. Francisco Guzman Says:

Just hope they don’t do the unthinkable and cut AB. That’s what the media wants.

  15. captivajim Says:

jmark is right–a dumb call given field position & 22 seconds left.. send ME & Scooter on flys downfield..

TB12 should have known better as well…..

  16. Darin Says:

That’s the safest route you can run. It’s called a Great defensive play. Sometimes you gota tip your cap to the other teams pro athletes. Bucs win is all that mattered

Howard would have made that throw without the pick

  18. Greg Says:

He didn’t get it from Ronald Jones….

Realize that this game was the greatest game ever played by someone Tom Brady’s age. Literally every single week is the greatest game ever played by somebody his age.

    Warren Moon’s season age 44: 15/34. 208 yards. 1 TD. 1 INT
    Vinny Testaverde’s season age 44: 94/172. 952 yards. 5 TDs. 6 INTs.
    Steve DeBerg’s season age 44: 30/59. 369 yards. 3 TDs. 1 INT.

    Then…
    Tom Brady’s season age 44: 347/208. 3771 yards. 34 TDs. 10 INTs.

Amazing that 3 out of the 4 were starting Buccaneers QBs at some point.

    Who is Scooter?

    Scotty Miller

BA on Bradys pick 6, “Bad call, Bad Execution” pretty straight forward.
Yea it sure was, but also a great catch by a D lineman.

At least the D gave up 0 points in the second half. Should have been 30-10 final score at least. Oh well they won.

Now it is on to Buffalo week.

    GO BUCS!!!!
