Tom Brady On Pace For 48 Touchdowns And 14 Interceptions

Heinous second-quarter gaffe aside, Tom Brady was an absolute beast today in Atlanta, extending his career record against the Falcons to 10-0.
And now Brady is racking up more historic numbers. His four touchdowns today make him the Buccaneers’ single-season franchise leader. He’s got 34 TDs, passing Jameis Winston’s 33 in 2019.
Brady also is on pace for 48 touchdowns and 14 interceptions for the season. Brady only has eclipsed 40 TDs once in his career. That was his historic 50 during the 2020 season.
Overall, Brady’s final line was 38-for-51 for 368 yards.
The NFL day isn’t over, but Brady entered Sunday’s action leading the league in pass attempts, completions and touchdowns. Joe’s confident he’ll make it to Week 14 comfortably atop those three NFL perches.
The Bucs came out throwing and throwing and throwing with their superstar 44-year-old QB.
Smart move.

Gino… He’s growing shorter because defenses have 4 to 5 backs playing 7 to 12 yards off the ball and backing up. It’s basically a Tampa 2 or cover 3. They are refusing to allow the deep ball anymore.

@Rod- yea my point was Joe is saying he is now the single season touchdown leader with 34 this year.
But he had 40 last year during regular season.
So he’s already the franchise leader for single season TDs…

He sure was. Brady was great. Nice seeing some nice plays to ME. We are this good and there’s actually room for more chemistry with TB12 and ME13. That’s really good news for us as Bucs fans.

Brady had 40 TD’s last year so he was ALREADY the single-season record holder for TD passes. His 34 this season did not pass him….his 34, 35, 36, 37, 39, 39 and 40th did that. So I’m confused by your 2nd paragraph here Joe…

Brilliance by Tom Brady today. Elite throws all day. The 2nd TD to Gronk, the one to Brate and the little floater to Lenny. Unreal throws!! And amazing hands by all our recievers today to finish.

I have no problem with running the ball, I just hate when it’s so predictable.
There are at least 5 plays every week where it’s so obvious we are lining up to run that every single person watching the game knows what’s coming, and the D always stuff us.
That said, our commitment to the run game is the reason we beat Indy last week. (Along with crucial turnovers by the defense). We need the run game for sure. And we need to use RoJo more.

I was actually joking, I don’t care how many turnovers he has so long as we score more points and win. I’m old school in that I don’t care if turnovers happen so long as you’re being aggressive and scoring points.

BTW, I posted this by accident in the other thread, but I said ‘for those asking about Mike’, because he didn’t feel like he did much today, but Mike had 7 catches for 99 yards. That might be one of the most quiet 100 yard days I can ever remember.

Brady at home has been insane when it comes to passing, and he’s got 3 of the next 5 at home. However next week is against Buffalo, which is one of the top defenses in football, although they’ve been putting up klunkers lately. Tomorrow night, Pats vs Bills, will be big for the Bucs I think. The Bills can’t lose against the Pats and then lose again vs the Bucs – if they lose that Pats game, their season is on the line in the Bucs game, while the Bucs are comfortably in the playoffs.

I know it’s been said on other threads but while Brady is the GOAT and Gronk and Evans may be future hall of famers its’ this offensive line that is blowing my mind.
I haven’t seen a line play like this. Perhaps those premier Cowboy lines of a few years ago but we need to think of a nickname for these guys.
Our OL deserves a push to get some guys their proper respect.

stpetebucsfan – These haven’t exactly been top flight defenses they’ve been playing. Lets see the o-line give a great performance vs the Bills.
To be clear, I think they are a great o-line, but I’m not putting them up with the top guys because they’re not great at run blocking. Personally, I don’t care about run blocking, so long as they protect Brady, but to be all-time, they need to be able to do everything.

Ron Munch I agree with you, they’re not going to win in the playoffs throwing pick sixes. But that play was on the coaching staff. Up by ten deep in your territory, late in the half. There was absolutely no need for the to take unnecessary chances. Stupid play that NEVER should have been called. GO BUCS!
