Bruce Arians Says Carlton Davis “Should Be Ready To Go This Week”

Man, Joe’s Wednesday night got a lot better in a hurry.
Bucs fans saw the immediate impact to the defense when Sean Murphy-Bunting returned to his starting cornerback role against the Giants. And now Bucs fans will see another Super Bowl cornerback returning.
Bucco Bruce Arians was on SiriusXM NFL Radio tonight and shared the great news about Carlton Davis.
“Carlton had a good week of practice last week and he should be ready to go this week. He looked good today,” Arians said.
Very cool.
Now how will Davis respond after more than two months off? He blew out a quad muscle playing special teams against New England in Week 4. Cornerbacks coach Kevin Ross weighed in on that subject and explained that he expects a rough go for Davis over the next couple of games.

Sure do hope they’re not rushing any of our injured guys back too quickly. Still LOTS of football to play in this 2021 season.

We need some Flex Seal for all the leaking going on. Hopefully rust won’t be a huge issue for him and his skills come thru and the 3rd game back will be the charm for SMB and his rust is knocked off.

Carlton Davis is a huge return, but the thought of the starting CB line on the field scares the sh!t outta me. It’s like, who’s going down first?

one of the reasons our secondary is always getting hurt………………our run defense. Teams are having season high pass attempts everytime they play us which means there is more contact

Should be a good game to bring back Davis. The Bucs will score plenty of points in this game. So why not bring him back and let him get his feet wet after so long. Who knows, but Brady has been putting up 4tds a game against the Falcons as a Buc
