The box score is in on the Bucs’ most upsetting loss since they were annihilated in England by Kyle Allen and the Panthers in 2019.
And those stats from today’s ass-beating by Washington show that Ronald Jones never got a handoff or a touch. Joe never saw him take a snap.
It’s notable because it hasn’t happened previously and Bucco Bruce Arians often has talked about what a great one-two punch he has at running back.
Well, there’s no one-two when one of the dudes is riding the bench.
Leonard Fournette had an unremarkable 11 carries for 47 yards. Certainly Fournette was ok, but his longest run was eight yards and he didn’t have the consistent spark he’s had in previous weeks. On one very early run, Fournette took the sideline rather than the contact he often embraces on his best days. That’s never a great sign.
Not one carry or play for RoJo.
Joe doesn’t think it’s a coincidence or a fluke. The truth may not come out, but it certainly was surprising against a poor Washington defense.

If they actually trusted Rojo he would play, I think his last play against NO was a false start and back to the bench he went in that game. I think I saw him run the ball 1 time today. Respect is earned not just given.

Bucs were playing from behind early and passing often. Can’t trust RoJo to catch, so he didn’t get reps.

Who cares… is ROJO really gonna have any impact on our games at this point? We suck on both sides of the ball because we spent all our loot to resign players that arent even playing. We’re gonna lose more games because of it

We made a mistake and drunk the playoff Lenny juice, I’m sorry, Lenny rather catching or running is uninspiring and surprising if he has a decent run. It’s like he gets what he can, but kinda blah. Has Lenny run for more than 60 yards in a game (you were a top five pick). We need a spark, he is probably sitting on the bench wearing #27. You know there is a possibility of an exciting run that could inspire the offense and the defense, maybe not quite Alstott-ish, but something. Bruce catered to Lenny’s cry and now his fragility is costing us see a better RB given the same opportunities

Lenny has never been a consistently great feature back, and will never be. Playoff Lenny is just temporary streakiness, not to be relied on.
Rojo is a far more explosive back, but with other issues.
Gio is a limited contributor.
This is not a great committee. Fine only if all three happen to be inspired.
No one guy is capable of putting the team on his back. This is a huge missing element.

I still think a mix of the 2 RB with fresh legs is better than just Lenny by himself.
If we don’t annihilate the Giants on MNF next week season maybe done!
