I agree with Munch. It was Leftwich’s fault that Fournette and Darden dropped the balls on the 2nd drive. It was also Leftwich’s fault for the penalty on the 1st drive.

The ‘key’ to beating Tom Brady has always been to bring massive pressure. That was proven last year in different games.
The fact that Leftwich only has a ‘down the field’ Offense is so DUMB.
They’re clearly aggressively bringing the pass rush. We should be mixing it up with some screens, draws, and other plays to disrupt the WFT pass rush.

Called this as a Bucs loss this offseason, it’s just a game that the Bucs lose.
Also, more shockingly, called for the Bucs to lose to the Giants after this. That is also a game the Bucs just always lose.
People will then panic, say the season is over, the team is washed up, blah blah blah, but the only other loss is to the Bills and they finish 12-5. I didn’t make a playoff prediction, but I’d hope by end of the year they’re finally getting healthy, the defense is getting hot and we go on another playoff run.

If you watched last weekend, if you watched the Dolphins beat up the Ravens, you know that the favored teams have been playing like trash – they all look like this, slow starts, nothing gets going, you keep waiting for the favored teams to get their act together and put away the trash teams, and it doesn’t happen. BradyBucs – yeah, I don’t understand how anyone can look at the depth chart at corner, and think it doesn’t matter who is playing corner the defense should still be a SB winning defense.
The all-time great 2002 Bucs defense was taken down by a single corner injury ub 2003 with Brian Kelly getting hurt during that Indy game. That defense also had no depth at corner, and once offenses found a weakness they exploited it. The 2020 Bucs defense is nowhere close to that that 2002 defense is, and yet they think you can take injury after injury and it should make no difference.

BradyBucs – I don’t actually have a problem with no TO after 1st down, but the Bucs weren’t jumping up to take a TO after the 3rd down play, that I have a huge problem with. But there was an injury so maybe they did call for it, but the injury stopped the clock first. Couldn’t see.
Give Brady a minute an 3 TO’s, that’s pretty good actually.

The general idea is you save it, hoping to make them pass on 2nd down. If you call the TO, then more likely the other team runs on 2nd down, forcing you to take another TO.
That’s always been the logic I heard, and it worked out really well in any case. 1-min with 3 TO’s is a ton of time for Brady.

This defense is making plays but is on short fields all day. You can almost see a turnover coming. Devin White is starting to flash.
The offense cant do anthing right. Reciever mistakes, QB mistakes, RB mistake, TE mistakes, OL mistakes………the only good thing i can say is the offense knows how to turn on a switch seemingly at will. I expect them to give us a lead in the 2nd half.
But we need to figure out how to play clean games. If it isnt pentalties and picks, its drops and fumbles. It was true Week 1 and its been true the past 2 games……….We are not ready for the playoffs just yet. Get this win and time to start getting in playoff shape before its too late.

When the Bucs were at the goalline, Brady had Evans on 2nd down in the back of the endzone, but never looked anywhere except to Gino in the flat who wasn’t open.
Very un-Brady like to just stare down one guy and not look anywhere else.
The Darden INT was complete BS, he caught the ball, took a step, then fumbled it it up in the air like an idiot, perfect pass from Brady, 100% on Darden.
The 2nd INT he was going to Evans, but it didn’t look like Evans was even out of his break and in any case it was double covered. Bad pass on Brady.
Overall, in the first half, Brady seems to be staring down one receiver, not really scanning the field. Outside of an early hit he seems to have time, so he needs to slow it down a bit. With Young out, maybe he does that.
Last year, Bucs down 17-0 @ Falcons, they score 21 in the 3rd. So this will be a huge quarter, obviously.

Have you watched the corners play? You really think if you get up on the line they’re going to play better? The corners, except for Dean, are all slow and get ran by, you have to play back if you want any chance to keep them in front of you. These guys the Bucs are playing, except for Dean, are not NFL caliber players, they’re too slow, have no quickness, can’t catch the ball even if it hits them in the hands – this is what happens when you’re dealing with deep bench players.

The Bucs are trying to run it up the gut of Washington, but WFT has one of the better running defenses in the NFL. But given the dropped passes, they keep running at Washington.

Yeah, 101 football, if a team is really aggressively blitzing you, screen them to death. Teams do it to the Bucs all the time, but the Bucs have ultra-fast LBs that can run them down – as far as I know the Redskins do not.
