Antonio Brown And Rob Gronkowski Out For Sunday

November 12th, 2021

Injury updates.

In his final remarks prior to Sunday’s game at WTF, Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians said today furniture-tossing, bicycle-throwing receiver Antonio Brown and foot-rubbing, car-littering film guru tight end Rob Gronkowski won’t even make the trip to Washington.

.

Chris Godwin, he has a messed up foot, will likely be a game-time decision, Arians said, adding how Godwin’s foot responds tomorrow will go a long way toward determine his status.

As for cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting and receiver Scotty Miller, who could be activated from IR, Arians did not rule them out, saying they “could be” on the active roster Sunday.

  1. Medicated Pete Says:

Still 9 games left plus 3 or 4 postseason games. Rest these guys who actually win big games for us & run Mike Evans into the ground for sloppy regular season games

  2. SB Says:

It is about time maybe to drop AB from my roster.
He got me some good points in the beginning.
Hope the rest of the roster stays healthy.

  3. Tampabaybucfan Says:

We will need Evans to step up Sunday & I’ll bet Pete’s sheep he will

  4. AL121976 Says:

It has been confirmed, pete is the realist

  5. Joe in Michigan Says:

    Pete’s sheep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hahahaha

  6. Tim in PSL Says:

Agree on that Pete. Unfortunately, I’ve always felt like there is some sort of miscommunication between Brady and Evans between the 20’s. In the red zone is another story. We’ll see I guess.

  7. AL121976 Says:

Such a Coward for changing his name

  8. Allbuccedup Says:

What about Carlton Davis? His name hasn’t been mentioned?

  9. Medicated Pete Says:

Mike Evans can’t get separation enuff to over use him plus he stops running on routes which causes INT’s & has alligator arms & drops balls & doesn’t block in key situations

  10. Joe in Michigan Says:

Yes Pete, Mike Evans has NEVER done ANYTHING to help the Bucs. His TD catches mean absolutely nothing, never have, never will. 🙄

    No troll feeding!!!

When I heard that Gronk had FOUR broken ribs – including at least one that was truly ‘broken’ (as opposed to ‘cracked’) since it punctured his lung – I knew he would be dealing with nasty effects and a good bit of pain for at least 6-8 weeks.

Credit the first ballot HOFer for wanting to be back on the field as soon as possible – but he never should have been allowed to even attempt playing in that Saints game.

In some cases – it is up to the medical staff and the coaches to protect a player from himself and his desire to play when he’s not quite ready coming back from a serious injury. This was one of those cases – and BA admitted his mistake like a man.

Hopefully Gronk will be fully healed in a couple more weeks.

Considering his injury history and the recent back ‘tweak’ – the Bucs need to be somewhat cautious with Gronk’s usage and exposure to further injury leading up to the playoffs.

Bucs don’t “need” Gronkowski to get to the playoffs. But they WILL need him once post season commences. Having Gronk on the field could easily mean the difference in winning vs losing a Championship game or Super Bowl

Letting OJ and Brate take the lions share of TE snaps for the next 6 games or so – even once Gronk is “healthy” would be the prudent approach IMO. But Rob has a big personality and is probably very hard to say ‘NO’ to I would imagine – so we’ll see how it all plays out….

  12. Adrnagy Says:

This game will test our “depth “. From Heineken ripping our secondary to our WR down to our running game. And it will show in the penalties sheet.

  13. Beeej Says:

Evans had 13 touchdowns last year despite missing several games, and he IS on my fantasy team

  14. captivajim Says:

IF BA is smart; Gronk & AB will not play until the playoffs… With all the ” DEPTH” we should not need them…Grayson scored TD –he’s hungry, wants to perform–give the kid a shot.. ME will be doubled..who knows Grayson could have a good day..

  15. JimmyJack Says:

Sounds to me like Godwin, Bunting & Miller will be in the lineup in the next game or 2.

AB and Gronk sound a little worse and they might be out for a few games.

The main guy Im worried about is now Carlton Davis. Nobodys talking about him. Sounds like he might be out most of the season. If we dont hear news on hin in the next few weeks I might start worring about season ending injury.

  16. MadMax Says:

All good, let em heal…its washington.

Did anyone see that upset Tennessee pulled off against Kentucky? My CB Im pushing hard, Alontae Taylor had a sweet pick 6…..Im pretty sure he’ll be there at 32 when we pick…..then we need that safety Jaquon Brisker from Penn St.

  17. #8 Says:

I’d say keep Godwin active, but keep him on the sidelines unless its close-
Have got to get/keep the dudes healthy so we win our last 4 games-

  18. SOEbuc Says:

Please get us some info on Carlton Davis next time you speak to Bruce, Joe. As you can see wondering minds would like to know. No timeline that’s no bueno.

  19. Bucs Bro Says:

I really wish BA would be more coy with injuries as to possibly give us a competitive advantage.

  20. JimmyJack Says:

My prediction is after the Redskins game We will be reading a Joe article raving about Tyler Johnsons big game.

Im also liking the Perriman signing……..As amazing as Cyril Grayson was against the Saint I think Perriman will be an upgrade.

  21. Buczilla Says:

    Bummer.
