The Slimy Saints’ Hex On Tom Brady

The fact that Tom Brady facing a Sean Payton-led slimy Saints squad is 2-4 is mindblowing. Brady has success against everyone.
It gets worse, as pointed out by Jim Trotter of NFL.com, Brady is damn near Jameis Winston-like as a Bucs quarterback when he plays New Orleans.
Consider this: In four games against the Saints the past two seasons, Brady has as many touchdown passes (eight) as turnovers (eight). In his 24 other games since joining Tampa Bay last season, he has 71 touchdown passes and just 19 turnovers.
At first thought, Joe is of the mind that the slimy Saints will have hell to pay when they face Brady again in December on “Sunday Night Football.”
Then again, Joe thought the same thing last year when the Bucs lost to the slimy Saints in New Orleans. That didn’t turn out so well in the rematch on “Sunday Night Football.”

It still bewilders me why qb or coaches call pass plays like the last Brady interception when they have the d backs sitting back there drooling. Short sideline passes would of got us in field goal range and left no time for the stinkin ain’ts to answer back with a score. But I’ve never figured out women either lol

I hate the slimy Saints, and their arrogant loud mouth coach. No team I want to beat more. But they do seem to have our number… except when it matters most. So I’ll take that!

I guess no biscuit when you risk it. According to BA, TB12 should just kept pumping it to Bucs #3 wr Evan’s. If this is the case allow for getting knocked off his route by a DB with a dust feather and make sure the ball is between the numbers so he can’t cower and pull up. He is still the best #3 in the NFL.

I dunno. Sunday was not anywhere near the same galaxy as last yr. The offense dominated. Brady could have(should have) thrown for 400+ yards. Had 70% comp percentage, 4 touchdowns. Having Wirfs pushed in to him isn’t his fault per se but that turnover with a minute left was of course and that one play sullied what was a dominating day. Penalties, and poor defense contributed just as much, if not more to that loss. If Tampa plays DISCIPLINED football, they put up 40. What grinds my gears the most is the Saints celebrating like they won the Super Bowl, and far New Orleans dirt people acting the same. The Bucs made it look so easy coming back to take the lead as if they were just toying with them and then blew it anyway. It is clear as day who the superior team is

While they do seem to win the battles, they have lost the war twice. The regular season was ugly last year but they got bounced from the playoffs (likes that Annie Agar shoutout to Jared Cook today!) along w their HOF qb. This year does anyone seriously think they can make a deep run this year with Trevor or Taysom?

I agree. This wasn’t the same loss as last year. This was a loss we could have easily won. The penalties were suicide. The turnovers hurt, but the penalties killed us. I’m hoping as the defense gets healthy, the penalties disappear. I truly believe the penalties are a sign that Bowles is getting in the D’s head about being aggressive because he knows how thin they have been in the secondary.
If we get SMB and Davis back combined with Sherman, this could be the best secondary we’ve had. I hope!!!

I swear the Bucs are saving things for the games that matter.
Yes the D has got to get their stuff together–getting remotely healthy has to help some–1st game of season isn’t a fair representation of our ‘healthy’ D vs. what we now know to be a damn good team that everyone expected to suck ass. D won’t be dominant magically, but dear lord if they figure penalties & don’t totally blow in secondary, it’ll start coming together better.
The O will pull out lots of looks we’ve never seen before in the playoffs.
Hopefully combined with the D playing slightly better & O truly being on fire, the guys make another run.
Regular season will end 13-4…there are two more losses out there.

Superman bleeds. We’ll be fine going into the second half. Plenty of time to compete for homefield. Rams/Cardinals will take division losses. Real important for Mahomes to show up and KC to play some defense against GB this weekend.

Hard to believe that Tom Brady, with so much on his table, could still be insecure facing a mediocre team, the Saints.
You could see it in his game. He was tentative and unsure of himself; maybe it is the Voudon.

The sad thing is Payton has had our number pretty much since he’s taken over. That guy just has every Bucs coaches play book on both Offense and Defense. Nothing better then making Brees walk off in retirement with a loss to us, but no matter when we play them it’s going to be a dog fight that can go either direction. Bad thing, it usually goes to the Saints. With all these coaches, you would think we’d have a hell of a game plan against them and know 100% what it takes to beat them. But for some reason our big coaching staff can’t figure them out. Really embarrassing for the coaches and players.

Here’s the only positive thing I’ll be able to say if/when we lose to them again:
New Orleans has swept us during the regular season every time we won a SB.

Its no hex. Sean Payton is actually a very good coach. Arians use to be. But for now, he’s ridin Brady all the way to retirement. Who coaches from a golf cart? Whens the last time you actually witnessed Arians on the field coaching? I will say, he is outstanding steering that golf cart around though.

This entire “Saints/D Allen D has Brady’s number” thing echoes the “New York Giants/Spagnolo D has blueprint to beat Brady” problem from years ago. The Bucs coaches need to connect the dots. Because both were/are true to the extent that it is a problem. Huge pass rush, good disguised coverages and problematic matchups.

Brady or not, this was a perfect game to pound the ball with Lenny. The Brady Show didn’t do the Bucs any favors. You can’t continue to expect this guy to be perfect.
