2010 Bucs Schedule

April 20th, 2010

Joe has to apologize upfront. He was away from his computer (work called) for most of the evening and though he had wireless Internet access, Joe’s laptop would not connect.

Ggggggggggrrrrrrrrrr!

So, belatedly, below is the Bucs 2010 schedule.

2010 Bucs Schedule
Sept. 12 Cleveland, 1 p.m. (WTSP, Channel 10)*
Sept. 19 at Carolina, 1 p.m. (WTVT, Channel 13)
Sept. 26 Pittsburgh, 1 p.m. (WTSP, Channel 10)*
Oct. 3 Bye
Oct. 10 at Cincinnati, 1 p.m. (WTVT, Channel 13)
Oct. 17 New Orleans, 1 p.m. (WTVT, Channel 13)*
Oct. 24 St. Louis, 1 p.m. (WTVT, Channel 13)*
Oct. 31 at Arizona, 4:15 p.m. (WTVT, Channel 13)
Nov. 7 at Atlanta, 1 p.m. (WTVT, Channel 13)
Nov. 14 Carolina, 1 p.m. (WTVT, Channel 13)*
Nov. 21 at San Francisco, 4:05 p.m. (WTVT, Channel 13)
Nov. 28 at Baltimore, 1 p.m. (WTVT, Channel 13)
Dec. 5 Atlanta, 1 p.m. (WTVT, Channel 13)*
Dec. 12 at Washington, 1 p.m. (WTVT, Channel 13)
Dec. 19 Detroit, 1 p.m. (WTVT, Channel 13)*
Dec. 26 Seattle, 1 p.m. (WTVT, Channel 13)*
Jan. 2 at New Orleans, 1 p.m. (WTVT, Channel 13)
* – denotes blackout rules apply.

As expected, there are no primetime games, though if by some miracle the Bucs put together a solid season, they can be moved to a Sunday night game beginning with Nov. 21.

It’s folly to try to predict the record as teams sometimes come out of nowhere to be good, and teams expected to be good stink the joint up. Who would have expected Washington and Pittsburgh to have such bad years prior to last season?

That written, Joe doesn’t see the Bucs winning more than six games. Joe hopes that is not the case; that the Bucs win many more.

Where you at Joe? the Bucs just got a 7th rounder for Leftwich. It’s not Limas Sweed, but its something more than cutting the guy

    Where you at Joe?

A four-letter word called “work.” Joe will post something shortly.

For a realy good anlysis of the Bucs schedule – hope you don’t mind Joe – and why it is favorable to the Bucs, read the St. Pete Times analysis about the Bucs slate. A very good, insightful read.

  4. Tampa Bob Says:

Which will be greater: the number of Buc victories or the number of blacked-out home games?

  5. Joe Says:

Good question Tampa Bob! Sort of John Grisham novel turned movie, huh? 🙂

What a great prop bet: More wins or more blackouts.

  6. Radio Mushmouth Says:

Holy Crap !!! The league actually gave us a home opener!!!

  7. CharlieB Says:

I’ll be disappointed if we don’t win at least 6 games on that schedule. Rams, Lions, Browns, Seahawks and both games against Carolina without Peppers. That said, 8-8 might be our upper limit as well unless our young guys have improved a lot more than I’m giving them credit for.

4 potential wins, not counting upsetting Atlanta, Carolina or New Orleans.

Browns, Rams, Lions and Seahawks. And those are only potential wins. The Bucs aren’t even good enough to guarentee that.

What a long season this will be.
