Tom Brady On Pace For 5,848 Yards & 48 Touchdowns
October 14th, 2021Yeah, everyone loves Tom Brady. But Joe has to bow to the men who didn’t allow Brady to get sacked tonight.
He was hit just three times.
The Bucs’ offensive line has been specatacular. A leak here or there (looking at you, Alex Cappa) is unavoidable, but overall the O-line was special against a talented Eagles defensive front.
The Bucs moved the ball at will and that guy named Brady is now on pace to throw for 5,848 yards this season with 48 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.
It doesn’t get much better than that.
The running back blocking was even good tonight, too, and Brady spread the ball around like he always does.
Impressive!
Take a moment to thank @jasonrlicht for building this beastly offensive line.

“The Bucs moved the ball at will”
The only thing that can stop Brady and the Bucs is Leftwich.

This o-line was ALMOST like the old 1990’s Dallas Cowboys. But Emmitt Smith would run 10yds before being touched on every play

Brady threw for 81% tonight,,,,,,they had great coverage on our WRs so he checked it down often…..he wasn’t going to throw a pick & lose the game

Brady with over 2000 passing yards in 6 games is amazing.
I have a feeling that Brady with get the 5000 yards and 30 TD passes this season but not anywhere close to the 30 Int’s.
What a difference.

Joe
BRADY’S yards…. will continue to drop. Explain how Brady did not see WIDE OPEN GIO
ON that 4th down play? Explain how this game didn’t obliterate the betting odds of the
OVER. Literally handed the Eagles penalties, like Oprah on her talk show. I’m happy 5-1
Been a die hard fan since 94. But let’s call a spade a spade. VEGAS was gonna lose
Their ass tonight and had to call an audible.

Joe the dream is dying!! Last week Brady was pacing 51.
Maybe he gets the yardage record but that TD record was the real cream imo.

I have never seen the TB12 Bucs version of Checkdown Charlie, but he made an appearance tonight.
I do not know why Tom was in that mode, cannot put that on BL.
Oh and then hey let’s go with a long play for the 4th down, instead of a simple checkdown for a first down?
Like most games, the Bucs offense seems to go into a funk at times for whatever reason.
Could have easily been a 21 point win, oh well 5-1 is still the most tonight could have been anyways.
GO BUCS!!!

Keith I’ll explain it to you. 2 long, methodical TD drives in 1st quarter helped them build a lead by 3rd quarter. Took their foot off the gas and Brady threw a few ducks at the most inopportune times as the Eagles started putting together drives themselves holding on to possession more. Kneeling inside the 10 as the clock expired didn’t help either.
The Bucs may have a historic offense, but a team over of 30.5 is still a really high bar. I got burned too.

WTF was derek barnett pushing him over and over for after the play–took Ryan Jensen showing up for it to stop

I understand using the running game to eat up clock, and Playoff Lenny did a fantastic job last night. But, but, but, with this defense, we have to keep the score lopsided. You see what happens when Leftwich starts to play it safe. When the opponent gets within 2 scores, put the pedal to the metal again. Run when you’re ahead by 21. When the opponent begins to close the gap, full speed ahead with the passing game. We shouldn’t be biting our nails at the end of games. That’s old Bucs football.

Personally I think Tampa played a smart game. They built up a good first half lead, and then maybe coasted a bit, but ultimately won the game, which is the objective. But let’s remember they really had only 3 days to get ready and some what rest their bodies before this game. Tom has a small, but real injury to his thumb and your D is obviously not 100%. So in what way would it be smart or good for the team to “ put your foot to the metal “ and possibly cause more injuries. After Sherman went out I think they said “let’s play smart”, win this game and go home in one piece to rehab and be ready to play another day. Just my thoughts.
