Maulin’ And Ballin’
October 13th, 2021What exactly did Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians feed left tackle Donovan Smith Sunday morning?
Whatever it was, it should be a weekly pregame snack.
You could tell early in the game over the sad Dolphins that Smith was playing with a bite. He was maulin’ and ballin.’ Just the way Joe likes it.
Whether Smith attacked defenders out in space or simply made them eat grass, the tape shows Smith may have had one of his best games. It was perhaps his best since the playoffs last year when he made Chase Young vanish.
No wonder Tom Brady could have eaten a mass-produced franchise sandwich with bread formerly made in part from yoga mats topped with suspicious tuna DNA.
Enjoy the blocking adult video below.

. Well this will give several of the regular posters indigestion. But let’s be honest, Smith looked great in that cut up.
October 13th, 2021 at 9:16 am
After D Smith having a game that reminded all of us about how he has played many times in the past, and BTW all the garbage comments against him that comes with. He must have been pissed at himself, whatever it was he was motivated by, what do you know, suddenly playoff version D Smith showed up against the Dolphins.
GO BUCS!!!!!!
October 13th, 2021 at 9:21 am
It was the best I could remember of him on run blocking. A huge change from the week before at New England.
October 13th, 2021 at 9:22 am
That “mass-produced franchise sandwich with bread formerly made in part from yoga mats topped with suspicious tuna DNA” is probably the famous product of Florida’s own pill-popping, Natty-Boh-binge-drinking, Rojo-peeved, Trask-bashing, meltdown-having, Monday-morning-quarterbacking, Ray Jay breaking-and-entering, Gruden-hating @Medicated Pete!
Bucs > Eagles on TNF!

I know that this is not the point of the article, but there were a couple of plays on that film that featured blocks by OJ. He did well on those plays in this recording, although we all know he gave up a QB sack and was rightly maligned for it (Tony Romo called him out). Can OJ develop into a good, all around player? His talent level is high.
October 13th, 2021 at 9:28 am
Why thant can’t be Donovan Smith. I am told by some geniuses who post here that Smith is awful, a liability, and pine for the days of Pinyatta Walker.
October 13th, 2021 at 9:34 am
Donny Smith looks good occasionally. The sun shines on a dogs ass once in a while
October 13th, 2021 at 9:43 am
Donovan Smith is awesome. Love what he brings and who he is as a player. Pleased to see his development over the last couple of years. Dude is a player. Good pick, Licht.
October 13th, 2021 at 9:45 am
Incosistency, thats what his game is all about……Great games, great plays, and some games like NE and many more, would love to kick his behind….. But as Joe says…..There are no many better than Donnie out there….and he has a great point……
October 13th, 2021 at 10:03 am
for a tackle, he seemed in the middle of the line in a lot of those formations. the formations limited his exposure to open space left shoulder attacks. good blocking schemes.
October 13th, 2021 at 10:16 am
Gronk had as much to do with shutting down Chase Young as DS76… maybe more… just sayin.
OJ looks like someone playing not to get hurt. He’s got to overcome that.
October 13th, 2021 at 10:21 am
When he’s on, he is ON! Love to see him fire out and ragdoll folks! I thought they were going to get him with a helmet to helmet on that one screen play though. We got lucky on that one.
October 13th, 2021 at 10:37 am
He must be that bad we have to highlight certain plays for justification of a lie. Dsmith is an average Tackle. Not good and not bad. Anything but special. For 1 dominate play for 5 miss assignments. Marpet is way better but faded away because of Dsmith pump
October 13th, 2021 at 10:53 am
He knows Brady can tell the brass to draft his successor. No questions asked.
October 13th, 2021 at 10:53 am
And the geniuses reveal themselves.
October 13th, 2021 at 11:08 am
Nice that first block had me laughing.
October 13th, 2021 at 11:10 am
Wow, I didn’t know he had that in him. He was down right nasty. Love the effort and intensity. He looked like an all pro in those cut ups
October 13th, 2021 at 11:14 am
The $40 million contract is what makes me wanna run full speed into a brick wall. He showed up against one of the worst teams in the league. Garbage and such better options out there to save that money. Bad move by Licht. Wirfs 2.0 on the left in the first round.
October 13th, 2021 at 11:32 am
I missed the “highlight” reel from the Pats game.
I also noticed no one was singing his praises last week.
I wonder why?
If you suckers want to believe he’s great, be my guest. There are quite a few of us that see the real Durable Donnie for what he is:
Overpaid
Underperforming
Penalty prone
Lacks CONSISTENT focus
Wirfs should be our LT.
He deserves it.
October 13th, 2021 at 11:45 am
Smith isn’t the greatest of all time but he isn’t the worst left tackle like some people think. He is a solid good tackle not elite but not terrible.
October 13th, 2021 at 11:47 am
LOL! All the triggered dopes, angry if someone dares to say Smith isn’t the worst LT in the league. These are the same exact idiots thought McCoy sucked because he wasn’t mean and didn’t eat his boogers – plus he liked comic books. I’m so angry even thinking about that!!! GRRRR!!!!
October 13th, 2021 at 11:55 am
DS gets some love today! Apart from the penalties, he’s been having a good season, so I’m glad he’s getting some pats on the back. We should all hope he continues his maudlin’ and ballin’ ways.
October 13th, 2021 at 11:59 am
Smith is in the top 90% of LTs in the league. He isn’t a standout, but he plugs away at it well.
The biggest thing is that his teammates like him and support him. A gelling line is worth more than a superstar LT.
October 13th, 2021 at 12:11 pm
Donnie and Wirfs are one of the best tackle combos in the league right now Wirfs being Top 3 and Donnie Top 10
October 13th, 2021 at 12:15 pm
Great to see some on the field attitude and intensity!!! Definitely some great clips of Donovan dominating !!! Keep it up D Smith that’s pro bowl type stuff !!!
October 13th, 2021 at 12:38 pm
Fancy Man calling others triggered!
Go re read your angry rants from yesterday’s Gruden thread you hypocritical dipsh!t.
October 13th, 2021 at 12:41 pm
Craig,
Please find ANY ranking ANYWHERE that shows Durable Donnie inside the top 32.
You won’t.
You will see Wirfs listed in the too 10 in many of them.
I don’t take those rankings as the gospel but between that and what I see with my own eyes I’m confident in my belief that DD sucks out loud.
October 13th, 2021 at 3:21 pm
Any objective observer would see that DS is having a good season so far, the penalties aside, he’s been playing at a high level. Going forward it will be interesting how he performs.
October 13th, 2021 at 3:55 pm
With all the pissin and moanin over this dude, he’s still around and playing solid ball.
October 13th, 2021 at 3:57 pm
DOOSH….
Like so many about Smith… ignorance reigns.
They expect Pro bowl caliber play every single play. It’s unrealistic and does not happen. The other team has good players too, in case you didn’t know.
Donovan Smith has been a top 10 left tackle in the league for a few years now.
Even before the Super Bowl run.
The last 2 years he has firmly cemented himself in the top 10.
October 13th, 2021 at 4:10 pm
You keep on believing that David.
Talk about ignorance……
October 13th, 2021 at 5:14 pm
Dooosh: Lindy’s Sports has Donovan Smith as tied for 15th on their Left Tackle list in the Pro Football 2021 Preview.
October 13th, 2021 at 6:07 pm
Donovan Smith has played well exactly the last season and a quarter or so. Ever since Slow Donnie has looked down the line and saw his replacement (Wirfs) manhandling defensive linemen Slow Donnie has miraculously gotten better after his first 5 seasons were an absolute failure.
I wonder what his motivation could be for somehow improving after 5 seasons?
October 13th, 2021 at 8:06 pm
Joe in Michigan,
Thanks for that info, I know you had to dig deep!
Keep in mind that was a “preview” and of course he’s the starting LT for the SB champions. That had to help.
He continues to disappoint with his lack of focus and rookie-esque mistakes.
I was surprised you weren’t defending him after the Pat’s game last week.
Why was that?
😂🤣😂
October 13th, 2021 at 8:49 pm
4-6 of those examples spend some time of the play face in the dirt.
Get it Donny!
October 13th, 2021 at 9:27 pm
I remember when Donovan Smith was “bum” what happened to all that chatter?
October 14th, 2021 at 1:44 am
Bucemup,
Did you not read the previous post?
Not everyone is on the Durable Donnie train.
October 14th, 2021 at 12:12 pm
Dooosh: Your quote was “ Please find ANY ranking ANYWHERE that shows Durable Donnie inside the top 32.
You won’t.” This is incorrect (see my post above). I’m sorry if facts and you proven to be wrong hurts your feelings.
October 14th, 2021 at 12:51 pm
Joe in Michigan,
I’ll take your word for it as I couldn’t find it online, only in print I guess.
Congratulations to Durable Donnie for making someone’s list.
I’m sure the accolades will keep coming once everyone realizes how great he truly is.
So, how bout that Pats game, huh?
😀
October 14th, 2021 at 3:15 pm
Dooosh: You said it yourself in an earlier post, “ he’s the starting LT for the SB champions. That had to help.”, so I know that you can comprehend it.
