Tebow Is Glazers’ Draft-Day Fantasy
April 19th, 2010Fans better believe money will be a focus of this draft for Team Glazer.
Those Glazers know that if the Jacksonville Jaguars draft Tim Tebow, their beloved Bucs stand to profit millions.
Why?
Well, Tebow and the Jaguars would come to play a preseason game in Tampa on Saturday night, August 28.
Conservatively estimating, Tebow’s appearance would put at least another 20,000 butts in the seats that night. At, say, $100 spent per person at the stadium for that game, that’s about $2 million in extra Tebow-induced revenue. Plus there’s the unimaginable amount of hype the game would get, which would be an absoulte advertising windfall for a team struggling mightily to sell tickets.
Why Tebow could potentially inject enough money into to Team Glazers to inspire them to stave off blackouts again in 2010. What a divine intervention that would be.

Do you really believe that 20k gator fans would show up for a pre-season game to watch Tebow play 1 quarter of scrimmage-football? I don’t.

100 per person for a preseason game?
Even adding for the occasional beer and parking, are you serious?

Joe here,
Yes, definitely believe there’s be a massive crowd for Tebow, considering how new he’d be in the NFL and the hype. Absolutely.
Tom – There are lots of expensive seats, plus people do spend money at the game.

Joe just imagine if the Bucs had drafted DEFENSE last year? Their record would have STILL been 3-13 or 2-14 with either the overall #1 or #2 pick.
Then the Bucs could have drafted Suh in Round 1 and Tebow in Round 2!!!!!
Think about THAT one!!!!

Looks like they havent considered the conventional approach to increasing attendance – a winning team.
Is that middle glazer a Hobbit?

How many people would really buy Bucs season tickets because Tebow was our back-up QB??
Im a huge Gator and Tebow fan , and I wouldn’t …in fact I’d be pissed we wasted a pick.
I seriously doubt it would cause a huge bump in ticket sales.

“oh sorry I read the headline and not the article”
That seems to be a common theme among a lot of the folks here.

From a marketing POV Tebow is worth winning 4-5 games – alone
If Tebow has a season like Sanchez did last year imagine all the people who will be jumping on that bandwagon!!!!

Tebow RULES … he would get the Bucks back to the playoffs!!!
