Dolphins At Bucs, TV Map
October 9th, 2021Will you get to see the Bucs host the Dolphins in the Battle of the Sunshine State on free TV by way of CBS? Joe is here to help.
This is one of the wildest TV coverage maps Joe has seen. Even though the CBS broadcast features the Super Bowl champs against the South Florida Chumps, it demonstrates the power of Tom Brady and the Bucs (yes, this proves the Bucs are now a national team).
CBS is sending its No. 1 broadcast crew of Jim Nantz and the pride of Eastern Illinois, Tony Romo, to call the game. And the coverage map shows that many parts of the nation, but not the hotbed of Bucs fandom, New England, will get to watch free from their over-the-air local CBS affiliate.
Let’s hope the Bucs have as much luck with Nantz and Romo as they delivered calling the Super Bowl.
Of course, Bucs fans can head to Big Storm Brewery in Clearwater, Odessa, Cape Coral or downtown Orlando at the Amway Center to watch the game. Naturally, visiting your neighborhood Hooters is always a wise move.
(Streaming information and options will be included in the “Gameday Tampa Bay” post scheduled to publish here at midnight.)
As always, TV coverage maps are courtesy of 506sports.com.

Is there anything worse then setting your alarm for 9:30 today. Getting my game day stuff prepared s little brew some BBQ. Then going to set up my t.v and then remembering it’s effing Saturday. I almost cried. It’s torture now waiting and waiting.

This is, according to the map, the first time since I can’t remember that CBS has broadcast a Bucs game in the central Florida market.
I’ll believe it when I see it!
Not to worry, I’ll be viewing for free regardless…

Must be because we’re playing Miami

CBS does the AFC. Obviously, Miami is considered the home team. Don’t know why. I will be listening to Bucs Radio anyway and I live in O-ville.

I’m about 15 miles too far north. CBS is Jags games up here. Oh well, gamepass it is. Have fun fellas! GO BUCS!!

Networks are not segregated by AFC/NFC anymore hence the NO V Wash game on CBS.

As long as I can remember, the road team has determined the network for inter-league games. Not the home team. It still mostly follows this formula, although there are some anomalies recently, as R.O. points out.

Its great to see the Bucs get more coverage this year. A superbowl does that.
Once our defense gets healthy and wakes up, We will be unstoppable.

You are right, but that changed last year. Would have to type 10 paragraphs to explain why (unless you are into TV contracts minutia), but all you need to know is that changed last year.

Joe, not sure if you know where New England is, but, they don’t get the game based on that coverage map displayed.

If I was out of market I would listen on the radio to the Bucs radio network before I would ever watch another game. Go Bucs! 😀🏈

I don’t know if it applies here, but if you go to the link for 506Sports, they will post late updates to the TV broadcasts underneath the coverage maps.
