Mismatch In Dolphins-Bucs Game
October 8th, 2021While the Bucs still have the NFL’s top passing attack, we have seen the passing game come down to earth a little bit.
The Rams did an OK job of lassoing the Bucs’ passing offense just enough to win. Last week, Bill Belicheat did a typical masterful job of squeezing an opponent’s best element.
Should the Bucs get a bounceback Sunday? Consider the Dolphins are ranked 17th in pass defense. So the Bucs should do OK.
Then again, Tom Brady’s safety blanket, foot-rubbing, car-littering tight end Rob Gronkowski, is on the shelf.
Can Brady rev up this offense without Gronk? Time will tell.
The Bucs are #1 in the NFL in passing offense. The Dolphins are #30. The Bucs are #1 in the NFL in rush defense. The Dolphins are #27.

Easy games like this, Pete just wants to run the ball 40 times & get the game over with & get out healthy
October 8th, 2021 at 12:33 am
I wouldn’t call anything easy with this defense. They need to show up these next 3 games before the game with the saints.

Every time I hear that coach speak Stop the run blah blah blah nonsense, I want to vomit. With the rules in today’s NFL that crap doesn’t apply. The Bucs are number 1 against the run but 23 in points allowed. It’s a passing league, the 3 yards and a cloud of dust boring crap is over and has been for a long long time. Last time I checked the team with the most points wins and points come out of the passing game.

Good teams wipe the floor with bad teams. Time for a good old fashioned blowout. Leave no doubt. LFG!!!

It our offense can’t get moving without Gronk then something is seriously wrong. We have Evans, Godwin, ab, and a growing tj. Brate isn’t Gronk, but he’s pretty solid. That’s more than enough firepower, make it work
October 8th, 2021 at 3:56 am
It’s only 4 games, but the Dolphins offense is abysmal this year. Scoring 15.5 points per game. Only the Jets are worse.
Jacoby Brissett, a serial back-up, is their QB. And he ain’t no Dan Marino.
Their defense ain’t too good this year either, they’re giving up over 27 points per game.
The Bucs would really have play bad to lose this game, in my opinion. And I don’t see that happening. But that’s why I don’t gamble, lol

What could possibly go wrong?

if anyone cause trouble in the locker room vita can bulldoze them into their wood locker cubicle and sit them down until they chillax
🙂

i’m hoping for a blow out and then a show out on thursday night football next week…
but i know, don’t get ahead of the opponent in front of you…
if we can carve up these fins and pluck the fugg out of these eagles on thursday night football with 2 high powered offensive dominant wins, people will start jabbering that the bucs are no joke again at 5-1…and coming home for an iffy bears team…
just sayin’

Bucs will probably be without our 3 starting CBs, 1 starting Safety, 1 starting DE/OLB and 1 starting TE. That’s 6 starters right there. Just coming away with a win, regardless of score, should be considered a major achievement under those conditions. Don’t count your chickens before they cross the road.

I think the team is a little behind right now from what we expected them to be at this point (from a continuity standpoint) especially the Defense. What worries me is not only the numbers the opponents Offenses put up against our D but that they are having their best day against us. Dallas, Atl, NE and LAR. If you watch their other games it seems that against us they play really good. The D needs to be better. Play more tight coverage, dont afraid that you will get beat. Its not only the absenses from the injuries is how they play too. Too soft. They played soft like that for a while last year too but during the playoffs they were more tight and they play good. Just dont be so soft. Go Bucs, greetings to all of you Joes and fellow fans from a Bucs fan in Greece.

No easy wins seems the trend so far. Would love to see a Bucs blowout in this game but who knows what to expect? Hope Brady gets his MOJO back and the defense dominates Miami.
October 8th, 2021 at 7:24 am
How bad is Miami’s offense? Honestly, Brissett is an upgrade from Tua. This is an example on how organizations picking the wrong QB can get a coach fired.
October 8th, 2021 at 7:42 am
Still waiting for OH Howard to step up with Gronk being absent.
My Son is going to the game, and taking my 9 year old Grandson, who is very excited to be going.
My Grandson doesn’t care the game is only against the Dolphins.
October 8th, 2021 at 7:51 am
Without the drops, and the penalties last week Brady would’ve had over 300 yards passing, and one TD. The only team that can stop us is us.
October 8th, 2021 at 7:55 am
Jacoby Brissett: Strong arm, but has accuracy problems, particularly on his longer passes. Good composure in the pocket, keeps his eyes upfield but battles his tendency to hold the ball too long. Despite being a very good runner, he is disciplined and only tucks and runs as a last resort. He’s a decent backup quarterback.
October 8th, 2021 at 8:05 am
The Dolphins were better last year with Fitzmagic that’s for darn sure. Even if Tua was healthy he already was a bust.
October 8th, 2021 at 8:07 am
Is Gio playing? Gronk wasn’t a huge part of the Bucs receiving core until playoffs last year so I am not sure why the offense is going to take a dip. With emerging of AB Bucs should be OK but unfortunately Evan’s is declining and not sure why he gets more rest.
October 8th, 2021 at 8:09 am
Medicated Pete almost made sense for once! Almost! 😉
October 8th, 2021 at 8:11 am
PassingThru, I agree that Brissett is an upgrade from Tua and a quality backup. Tua is a bust. These days you see the intangibles right away. Mac Jones in New England is going to be excellent. He’ll make his rookie mistakes but the talent, composure, and decision-making are all very evident. You can see this after four games. Four games into Tua’s career and you could see all the things he can’t do to be a successful QB in the NFL which is why they yanked him in and out of games with Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Until the Bucs pull their heads out of their a$$es. I expect a VERY close game…Dolphins or not.
October 8th, 2021 at 8:20 am
A Bucs welcome from central Florida to you, Christos. Hope all is well in the land of the ancients. 🙂 Hmm, if old man Brady loses it cos Gronk is out with broken ribs, he’s no GOAT. He’s got ME13, CG14, Brate, Howard, etc. This season is following a similar pattern to last year esp. in the injury dept. Plus, the fins are a NFL team. On any given Sunday………. I’ll be listening to what VV and JTS do on defense. Go Bucs!!
October 8th, 2021 at 9:18 am
Seems like a good game for Evans to have one of his patented 200+ yard games. Gotta get that 1,000 yards!
October 8th, 2021 at 10:08 am
As Buc fans we all suffered for many years with the low bar, “we’re gonna suck” expectations”.
And now we demand perfection?
A ludicrous fantasy such a short while ago.
A rash of Injuries, players out of synch, focus etc. I’d rather sputter along and still win games.
We hit stride and peak the later. Just like last year.
Or not.
October 8th, 2021 at 11:32 am
Over many years Gronk and Brady have developed a connection in the passing game, they have a sense for each other. No healthy producing Gronk in the playoffs, no NFC championship game.
October 9th, 2021 at 10:56 am
We all saw some misfires to Brate, passes that are normally caught by Gronk because he may cut quicker or later, turn at the exact perfect time etc. Brady has thrown thousands of passes to Gronk during off and in season. His separation is phenomenal, so a few timing issues with Brate is going to happen. You can still see some uncomfort at times with Evan’s and Godwin and AB is a true stud he has the ability to adjust quicker than most. Bucs are fine, fix the defense offense is good.
