Tom Brady On Pace For 6,159 Yards Passing, 56 Touchdowns

September 26th, 2021

Damn, Tom Brady looked exceptionally nimble and fresh on the field today.

Joe was very impressed. It’s obvious he’s got new life in his 44-year-old legs.

Brady finished 41-of-55 for 432 yards and a touchdown without an interception. Multiply his numbers out for the 17-game season, and Brady is on pace for 6,159 yards and 56 touchdowns.

Yeah, the Bucs lost to the Rams, broke their 10-game winning streak and fans aren’t used to being deflated. But Joe is fired up to see how good Brady looks, and he’s not getting hit — even without a running game.

It all bodes well for the big picture, even if it you just want to pop some Tums and hide your head under a pillow.

Bunch of yards and 1, count ‘em 1 pass TD in garbage time. Not saying it’s his fault but out O sure came down to earth against a decent defense

  2. Panthers suck! Says:

    We will be fine

  3. Medicated Pete Says:

We’ll need all of it. Can Scott Miller & AB play CB?.

  4. WalkdaPlank Says:

Joe is jumping way ahead to conclusions with these articles. Must be the product of a Super Bowl season last year. Interesting that Brady is on that pace but we all know it ain’t happening

  5. NaplesBucsFan Says:

Gotta get some semblance of a run game…can’t sustained pass, pass, pass…showed it today

  6. August 1976 Buc Says:

Drag Brady off the field next time.
I do not care if you need 2 lineman, drag him off the field!!!
That late sack is exactly why he should have been on the sideline.

    No Brady NO Super Bowl.

NO Pass Rush and Gimpy Secondary= Miserable game

  7. NaplesBucsFan Says:

Agreed, Brady goes from 4.5 TDs/game to just 1 today

  8. TommyWins1 Says:

The GOAT didn’t lose the game. A non existent pass rush and an ego maniac GM did. And can someone explain how they called that play a fumble? Makes no sense.

  9. NaplesBucsFan Says:

Exactly August…ALL starters should have been pulled once it was a 17 point game

  10. NaplesBucsFan Says:

Tommy, it was a fumble but it didn’t go forward since it stayed behind Brady and Gio caught it BEHIND Brady…

  11. JimmyJack Says:

Joe stop it with the pacing after 2 games. It was 76 last week. Is it 96 next week or is it 36?

Beyond lame. Actually he threw 1 TD today. I say hes on pace for 16 TDs

  12. JimmyJack Says:

Oh MB Brady threw 2 TDs.

  13. NaplesBucsFan Says:

There’s no teeth to the play action since we aren’t running it…so no wide open throws for the most part today

  14. JimmyJack Says:

August Brady wants the TD record. He wont leg them drag him off the field.

  15. NaplesBucsFan Says:

    2 TDs Jimmy????

  16. bucfanforever Says:

    and, most importantly, 11 wins.

  17. August 1976 Buc Says:

Ok JJack 3or4 lineman Drag Bradys behind to the sideline and put a circle of teammates around him and force him to sit still lol

  18. bucfanforever Says:

The offense has it, but it is demoralizing watching the lawn-chairs on defense.

  19. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    1 running & 1 passing;;;;;and yes…..he should have been pulled out….

  20. DaBux Says:

He won’t be for long if he keeps getting hit like he did today.

  21. PassingThru Says:

I felt the Buc scripted game plan was too conservative, too tepid at the start of the game. It wasn’t garbage time that opened things up as much as it was finally taking the initiative. The team’s greatest strength on offense isn’t the running game, which is fairly average by NFL standards.

  22. NaplesBucsFan Says:

Everyone is forgetting we had a nearly 1000 yard rusher last year and this year we have a nearly non-existent run game through 3 games

  23. CarolinaBuc82 Says:

Joe don’t be quiet, defend your take! #GOJOE

  24. Bob in valrico Says:

Like to see our WR’s ,Evans and Godwin be more involved. Too many throws to Gronk especially after Brady threw a pass that got him a vicious hit and another to Bernard that may cause some injury time. Recall Brady saying QB’s shouldn’t
throw those kind of passes. Scotty Miller doesn’t impress in the slot. We all know Brady can be excellent with his guys Brown and Gronk but he may be forced to get 13,14, and 18 more involved in lieu of injuries and other health issues .

From the beating I saw TB12 absorb the last 3 weeks, he’ll be lucky to last beyond Week 8.

You can’t treat a 44 year old like this for too long and expect him to survive.

    Peace, out …

  26. Kentucky Buc Says:

I don’t know what game you guys watched but only a couple guys on both sides of the ball came to play, Brady being one of them. He didn’t come off the field because he doesn’t quit. Still think they don’t need AB ? If Dean doesn’t drop that lollipop interception it’s a different game. Only one game though. Remember last year.

  27. Kentucky Buc Says:

Also. What was that garbage with the PA announcer talking while Brady’s calling out signals at the line of scrimmage ?

  28. Matt Says:

As someone from NE who’s watched Tom for 20 years the offense is not the problem. The defense is TRASH!! The stout d line will never get tested when the opposing qb can throw 50 times for 400 yards. Oh and Tom will never come out of games, so you can knock that off

  29. Roger Roccoforte Says:

Ok, I grew up twenty minutes from Foxboro…avid fan, since Boston Patriots…even though we nevah even sniffed a Super Bowl victory. We used to call ’em our Patsies. Being a Buc fan, im certain you guys can appreciate or empathize. And Matt twenty years tells the story. TB gives everything, don’t expect him to towel off til game clock reads 0:00. Now, I’m twenty minutes from Tampa. In candor and honesty, I’m not a big Bucs fan. However, T.B. literally gifted you fans with a Lombardi, this past season…kindly keep the faith…or you’ll be the Bucs, again. Ok, sorry too harsh…just still reeling from such lousy team effort.. Brady’s drive, determination, commitment to being exceptional…and bringing the team along for the ride…is what he does! Tampa now fully exposed, in the secondary…fix it. Money has been freed up to sign…R. Sherman?!? As I’ve not seen him play, lately, I truly don’t know if he’s a solution long term, or just a bandaid, (or tourniquet)…but clearly a move needs to occur. Love my Pats, or Patsies…But, I’ll exhort…Go Bucs!

  30. Rod Munch Says:

Was the teams leading rusher today as well.

  31. Ridley_Scott Says:

I’m more interested/concerned with the attempt stats. According to my admittedly probably wrong calculations he’s on pace for 805 attempts. That’s way over the NFL record. We need a run game and Stat. The man is 44 for Pete’s sake!

  32. Swampbuc Says:

When Brady throws for 400+ yards and only one TD and it’s a loss, it’s empty stats. That loss was a total team effort. Highly predictable based on this year’s demonstrated subconscious complacency and a decimated secondary and a total zero on the front seven.

Other than that, how did you enjoy the play Mrs. Lincoln?

  33. BucsCoolade Says:

Belichick quote.. “stats are for losers”.. has new meaning.

Bucs lost.. so let’s chat stats. No thanks.

  34. Youngbucs Says:

Best player on the field yesterday 🐐

  35. ZeroAx Says:

And more importantly, my boy Josh got 4 throwing and 1 rushing
