No Real Bad Days For Tom Brady

Every football day is fun.
You gotta figure being Tom Brady, life is pretty good.
Yet still, he plays in a violent sport that could put him in a hospital at any moment and he has to train like a dog year-round just to be able to play at the age of 44.
So yesterday, Brady was asked how he pushes through the rotten football days. Brady replied, there is no such thing.
He loves the game so much that he embraces every aspect of every day.
“Well, I always love it,” Brady said. “There are probably days I love more than others, but I definitely love it. I love working out.
“I think the point is you push your body physically, your mind and your spirit mentally and emotionally and all of those things have to kind of stay in the right place over a long period of time.”
Now Joe is fully aware Brady stated in a video produced by the Bucs that he can play until he’s 50. Joe never touched that quote because the video is part parody with his friend foot-rubbing, car-littering Rob Gronkowski.
Brady already stated about 90 percent of what he says on the record is caca. So, well, Joe wasn’t going to quote the guy from that scene.
Would it be cool if Brady loves football and loves the Tampa Bay area enough to stick around six more years? You damn right. But Joe will believe it when he sees it.

I don’t see anything that would indicate he is not able to play until he is 50.
If the Bucs maintain a great roster I can not see why he would not want to continue.

Brady doesn’t have many bad days on the field either……Sunday’s two interceptions are an example……a missed catch by a running back and a 50 yard Hail Mary.

If fans watched the full 5 minute version of Tommy & Gronky, they would realize Tom was joking. His initial response to his wife being okay with him playing to 50 says it all.

I just love his attitude. Working out year-around for over 22 years has to take its toll on the body, and usually the mind. But where the mind goes, the body will follow.
We should all have such a positive attitude. Imagine…

Doubtful that Horsey Gisele will let him saddle her up six years from now if he’s still playing football.

Brady is playing at an elite level at 44, at which age all other elite QB had retired or were no longer playing at the highest level. So obviously through nutrition, hydration, lifestyle, etc. he has been able to achieve this longevity.
Playing to 50? Arm strength may (e.g. Brees) or may not (e.g. Farve) be a factor. Let’s assume the arm strength remains. What really gives with age is brain function. That is accuracy, coordination, concentration, reflexes, cognitive function, etc. Even in sports what require no strength (e.g. chess) you wont see top players in their 40’s. The body can almost certainly last to 50, but the big question is how the brain will age. Very interesting to see how far his TB method can bring him.

Even if his physical ability deteriorates to where Peyton was at the end, he’d still be a net positive for the team

Who the hell knows how long this guy will play now? If he gets another Super Bowl this year I could totally see him riding off into the sunset with both hands covered in rings. He’s been around long enough to see how other great QBs have gone out and I doubt he wants to wait till he obviously is physically washed up. I also doubt he’ll want to start over with another franchise. My guess is next season will be his last.

After “hating” Tom Brady for the better part of two decades, I find myself falling short on things not to like!
Sure, winning helps but it’s not the only thing.

As long as Bucs have a great OLine and weapons, Brady will play if he still can.

“I’ll play until I suck” .. he doesnt suck yet. but the timing after a studly win.. is just a bit like giddy gloating and it could become bulletin board material. Hes almost guaranteed to take some shots next week after barely getting touched game1.

I’m Irish and whenever I succeeded in life my father..who had demons..always attributed it to my “Luck of the Irish”.
Brady has earned everything he’s accomplished. But he’s only had one really serious knee injury that cost him to miss most of a season. Other than that charmed.
No I’m not jinxing him…in fact I’m reverse jinxing him by saying what are the odds that ANY NFL QB at ANY age can expect to play another five years.
Brady has the will, the drive, and the skillset to play until 50. Does he truly have the luck of the Irish?

If my brain is functioning correctly, my memory of YA Tittle is, his last two years in the league were his best and then his worst. There was a photo of him on the sideline of his last game with blood running down his head. I expect Brady will go out on a high note long before the game has taken that kind of toll.
