So what are power hitters inside the walls of One Buc Palace saying?
Well, when they’re not wondering why they denied Average Joe, non-season-ticket-holders access to 2021 training camp, there’s plenty of chatter about Antoine Winfield, Jr.
NFL Network insider and Good Morning Football co-host Peter Schrager says he’s been talking to important people with the Bucs and they forsee Winfield taking a significant leap into a major level of greatness this season.
Schrager says he sees it to, so he ranked Winfield No. 4 on his list of Top 10 Breakout Players of 2021.
Yeah, Winfield already broke out and made huge plays in big games after a strong rookie regular season season. But that just illustrates how much fans should expect from Winfield this season, Schrager says. The leap coming now from Winfield is going to put him in the Tyrann Matthieu/Jamaal Adams conversation, Schrager details in the video below.
Joe is excited to see how Winfield applies all the knowledge he’s gained. Important people have convinced Schrager that Winfield is the true established leader of the Bucs’ young secondary and that he makes those around him better.
If true, Ira Kaufman is going to have to start working on his Canton presentation for general manager Jason Licht.

I am thinking in Schrager’s mind, Wirf’s broke out last year. Can’t fault him for that opinion.

I wish I were rich. Then I would pay Joe to never mention to pro bowl again.
We’ll get our players in because we are the champions, but let’s be honest. The Probowl is not a recognition of quality and more. It is all about popularity. It should not even be considered for HoF induction at this point.
