Big-Play David
August 14th, 2021Yeah, the preseason opener arrived tonight and it brought a site familiar to NFL historians.
Lavonte David has 24 career forced fumbles in the regular season. So does Derrick Brooks and Michael Strahan.
David is exceptional when it comes to stripping the football. And he did just that tonight from Bengals running back Samaje Perine in the first drive for the first-team Bucs defense. David recovered the ball, as well, another statistic where he places among the all-time greats.
What more can Joe say about David? He’s ready for 2021, his 10th NFL season. Joe hopes David takes a seat now until opening night.

David is just such a bad ass. I was so happy when he was drafted but I never thought he would be this good this durable and turn into such a leader. The all time great defenses make plays at critical moments. Check

LD54 is most certainly one of our best players, he was responsible all superbowl for keeping Kelce from going off and did an awesome job at it. He has been great at forcing fumbles since I have watched NFL since 2015

Bin saying it since he was drafted. He’s a tru baller. I thought he has some of his best days with Shino but this season just might be his best we will see

Idk how we got lucky enough to get Derrick Brooks twice but man it’s been a pleasure watching this man go to work. One of the most underrated LBs to ever play.

Lavonte is the master of disaster at stripping footballs.

I thought Stuard and his big red hair were moving around quickly and he’s got some power.

Class act and one of my favorite Bucs of all time. I am so glad he has a much deserved SB ring. He better be inducted into Canton and the Ring of Honor.
