Gerald McCoy Joins The Vegas Raiders

It’s fair to say Patrick Mahomes’ sleep won’t be disrupted tonight.
Little rattles the Chiefs’ quarterback, outside of men in red wearing the numbers 90 and 58. And certainly he won’t be shaken by No. 93, Gerald McCoy. The six-time Buccaneers Pro Bowl defensive tackle signed with the Raiders this evening.
At 33 years old, McCoy has made a mountain of money through his career, beyond $100 million. So it’s all about love of the game now for McCoy, who signed a multi-year deal with Dallas last year before a major quadriceps injury last summer ended his Cowboys tenure.
Now he’s in bed with Chucky trying to jumpstart his career with an unpredictable 8-8 team.
Joe wishes McCoy well as he gets to follow in the Raiders footsteps of one of his Bucs heroes and mentors, Warren Sapp.

I wish McCoy the best unless it is against us. I knew as he was playing here that he would not get a ring because the team failed to build around him until it was too late.
He’s now injury prone, and it is because he had to do so much here for so long…because the only other good player on defense at the time was Lavante David.
So far as Chucky..well, I’m glad the Glazers didn’t hire him back. It seemed like the kind of move they would make. I don’t think he’s win a ring, but he might make the playoffs at some point.
Lord knows he’s got lots of time to do it.

Hey the old guy may have enough left in his bicycle to be a decent sub in passing situations. Like that Gruden is giving an old friend a little more playing time in a substitute role. Always thought Gruden was a cocky prick. Maybe he’s mister softy now. Or maybe he sees him as a player/coach for his younger linemen.
