Cool Mike Evans’ Moment With Fans

Joe wrote yesterday how cornerback Carlton Davis was happy fans returned to Bucs training camp for the first time in two years. He said their energy made it feel like football.
He wasn’t the only one. Several players who spoke yesterday were happy if not honored to hear fans chant their names or start the “TAMPA… BAY!” cheer.
Mike Evans even interacted with some.
Evans caught a pass along the right sideline and dragged his toes down for a completion. Then, he jumped over the snowfence that separates the fans in the bleachers from the practice field. Evans hugged a handful of fans who ran to embrace him and pat him on the back.
“My momentum carried me over,” Evans said with a smile. And the fans helped me out like they always do and pushed me back over.
“It’s exciting having the fans back. Have some normalcy. That’s why we play the game — for the fans. And it was good to see them.”
Of course, this is an exciting year for Bucs fans to watch Evans. Yeah, he is on a Hall of Fame trajectory and gunning for his second Super Bowl ring. Evans, now in his eighth season (man, time flies), is looking to extend his current NFL record, making it eight consecutives seasons to start a career with 1,000 or more yards receiving.

I really believe that VJax had a calming effect on ME13. He helped influence ME13 on how to handle himself as a pro. ME13’s demeanor even reminds me of VJax ..God rest his soul
