Tom Brady Says There’s Consensus Across The Bucs

It’s hard to get a big football roster to agree on everything. (No, this story has nothing to do with vaccines.)
But there’s one thing Tom Brady believes is universally accepted across the team, so he told SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio this week.
“I don’t feel like any of us on our team felt like we were a finished product,” Brady said of the Bucs’ 8-0 finish last season. “Still ascending,” is how Brady characterized the Bucs, and he said he felt they left points on the board in all four postseason games.
Brady acknowledged that he thinks its a little cheezy to say the Bucs weren’t there best after a Super Bowl blowout, but Brady said it’s just fact and he still thinks about lost opportunities.
Will the Bucs be “the hunted,” as Bucco Bruce Arians called it?
“Absolutely you become the measuring stick for everyone. … “Teams say, hey, we lost to them by 5 points.” Brady said about defending a Super Bowl crown. But he did not concede that teams necessarily would play harder against the Bucs in 2021.
Joe thinks there’s consensus among Bucs fans, too. This team certainly can be significantly better this season. A wild thought.

“Still ascending,” Most of you youngsters on this here blog site don’t know how good it is to be a Bucs fan right now. I’m not selling anyone’s fandom short. But having gone through the 0-26 start, the Chris Berman “Yucs” years, the Lost Decade etc etc. These are mighty fine times. We actually are stating a season with hope! It feels freaking awesome!!

After a few years of paying $5 for scalped tickets as
a teen in the very lean late ’80s / early ’90s me and my buddies were able to scrape together enough money for a season ticket in 1991. Have been a season ticket holder ever since. Sure feels good to be at the top right now. Hope ownership and the GM have seen what it takes to attain and hopefully sustain greatness. Brady sure helps obviously, but we’ve made many other good moves too. I’m enjoying this time while hoping for the best in the future as always.

Oh how I remember the beginning and then finally winning that first ever game in New Orleans against the Saints then coming home to the Ol Sombrero to beat the Cardinals. We sat in the north end zone seats as Fans lassoed the goal post and pull it down. We had a monster of a defense headed up by Leroy & Dewey Selmon, how awesome they were and then finally getting to a playoff game for the 1979 season game was 1-61980 and play the Rams and possibly go to the Super Bowl and lose 9 to 0. We had no offense for years and years and years but we had a team for our city and we weren’t willing to stop even fans would go though they wore bags on their heads yes we the fans deserve all of this.

I lived in New England most of my life. I was a Patriots fan when they were the Boston team. I also liked the N Y Giant’s way back then. I now live in NC which is about half way to Tampa from Maine. I never paid much attention to the Bucs before TB12 left NE. I became an instant fan. IMHO it was always Brady and not BB that drove the Patriots to glory. I think last year proved that point. I’m looking forward to this Bucs season!
