Is It The Magic Of Tom Brady?
July 8th, 2021Last night, Kenny Albert of NBC Sports, calling Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals, said as time expired giving the Tampa Bay Lighting its second straight Stanley Cup championship, “The Lightning strike twice.”
Was it that rare, or is it the Tom Brady magic?
After Brady and the Belicheats upset the Rams in February 2002 to capture Super Bowl XXXVI, the first title for the Patriots, it began a wild sting of success in Boston sports that few cities have ever experienced. Before Brady was done in Boston, every major sports team won a championship.
For both the Patriots and the Red Sox, it was multiple championships.
Did Brady bring that same magic to Tampa Bay? Noted handicapper Warren Sharp seems to think there is something to it.
for nearly two decades Tampa was a city waiting to win another pro sports championship
then Tom Brady came to town
MAR 2020: Brady signs w Bucs
SEP 2020: Lightning win Stanley Cup
OCT 2020: Rays make World Series
FEB 2021: Bucs win Super Bowl
JUL 2021: Lightning win Stanley Cup— Warren Sharp (@SharpFootball) July 8, 2021
The only blemish — so far — is Kevin Cash’s unconscionable decision to pull Blake Snell and go full-blown, blindfolded stat geek because Snell, who would not likely pitch again for another four months, was pulled because he reached a pitch count.
That move allowed the Dodgers to clinch the 2020 World Series.
So now can the Bucs keep the Brady magic alive and repeat as Super Bowl champs this year?
Joe sure would like to see a celebration again this February in Los Angeles like the Lightning had last night.
Kudos, Lightning!

Don’t be dilusional. Winning the Stanley Cup has nothing to with Brady. To think or say otherwise is lazy but hey you got this joker to read and comment on your little story lol.

JPP’s Instagram: He & Jameis are vacation together in Colorado. JPP says “100% My Boy”. And the Paul Stanley Cup stays here!

Title Town! Rays on deck and then you know the Bucs are gonna feel the heat to match the Bolts. Great time to be a Tampa sports fan.

Well:
“A sports broadcaster put together a spreadsheet which shows that every city Tom Brady has lived in has had successful sports teams, and not just football. So, maybe he’s a good luck charm?
When Tom was growing up in the Bay Area from 1977 to 1994, the San Francisco 49ers drafted Joe Montana and won five Super Bowls. The Oakland Raiders won one, and the Oakland A’s won a World Series.
When Tom was at the University of Michigan from 1995 to 1999, the Detroit Red Wings won three Stanley Cups and Brady’s Michigan Wolverines won the National Championship.
Then from 2001 to 2019, the Patriots won six Super Bowls, the Red Sox won four World Series, the Celtics won an NBA championship, and the Bruins won a Stanley Cup”

Just like the stat in Hockey (+ or – ) minutes while on ice, Bradys plus or minus while in a city is off the charts.
Whatever or However, as the Frog man just stated, winning and where brady is located go hand in hand.
Tom Brady is the goose that lays golden eggs
GO WORLD CHAMPION BUCS!!!

No magic for the Rays unfortunately. They’ve proven to be pretenders, they can get there but can’t bring it home. When you can’t afford top end hitters great pitching takes you only so far before lack of scoring takes you down. They came so close last year but lack of scoring torpedoed them.
