Figuring Out Tom Brady’s Thought Process
June 29th, 2021Very interesting deductive reasoning from Rich Eisen.
The voice of NFL Network, who hosts a weekday talk show on Peacock, is like every other NFL fan out there. He’s trying to figure out what quarterback was being called out when an “m-effer” was dropped on him by park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking, tequila-shooting, smartphone-phobic, waffle-grilling, trophy-throwing, roller-coaster-scared, numbers-rules-peeved, Bucs-Super-Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady.
Some believe the culprit is Derek Carr and Chucky’s Raiders were the team that dropped out late in the race to land Brady. And it makes a lot of sense. Chucky never met a quarterback he didn’t like unless he played for him. But Eisen, in laying out his reasoning that it is the Titans, sort of made a case for the Chargers instead.
Remember, this was a month before the 2020 draft. The Chargers’ starter was terrible Tyrod Taylor. Terrible, that is, unless he’s throwing against a Mike Smith defense.
Of course, Brady would and should be outraged that a team would rather have Taylor. And as it turned out, it was clear then-Chargers coach Anthony Lynn was way over his head. Remember how he whined that Justin Herbert wasn’t ready to take over for Taylor when a Chargers medical professional punctured Taylor’s lung trying to shoot him up to numb injured ribs?
Herbert turned out to be one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks. So yeah, Lynn would be clueless enough to prefer Taylor over Brady.
Now Eisen also noted how Brady had said in the same “The Shop” interview on HBO last Friday night that “90 percent” of what he says in press conferences is nonsense. So why are we all of a sudden going to believe Brady was being forthright in saying when he signed with the Bucs he wanted to stay on the east coast?
That right there adds credence that it could have been and may have been the Chargers and Taylor that Brady unloaded about.
You see how drama sells in the NFL?
The full segment of Eisen’s critical thinking to conclude it was the Titans is below. Also, one of Eisen’s show stooges tried to claim “motherf@cker” is a term of endearment. Yeah. Try dropping that word on some dude in a bar around 1 a.m. and watch what happens.
Now that #HBOTheShop has aired and we’ve heard the full quote from @TomBrady about the “MFer” — @richeisen thinks The Goat is talking about this team:#NFL #Bucs@KingJames@mavcarter pic.twitter.com/jpSfCJ3QGW

That’s what Titans fans believe, and most of them say they are happy he didn’t come here – even after he won a Superbowl for the Bucs. Sour grapes I say!

Tom went from 20yrs of saying nothing….to having full-blown Tourette’s

Garoppolo makes the most sense to me. He probably has a bit of ill feeling towards Jimmy especially if he was vocal about taking his job in NE. I remember Brady needing to go above Belichick’s head to convince Kraft to trade Jimmy G. Easier to make an NFC foe “pay” for the decision too.

9ers all the way…
Im sure brady told mr kraft, “get that f’er outta here”…lol…
GO BUCS!!!!

Would like to pin Jameis with this…..but Brees was in the way…
Frankly, I really don’t care and there is a chance this is all BS…….Brady said he was “thinking it”……..so never said it out loud so hard to prove.

The NFL like virtually all organizations that are incredibly competitive attracts some major egos. The biggest egos however are smart enough to remain in college…see the largest ego of all Nick Saban.
Bottom line is many of these coaches and GM’s probably feared dealing with the GOAT and the power that comes with that undisputed crown.
This is where BA was the perfect match. I’m sure BA has an ego but I’m just as sure he is a VERY smart man who want to win more than have total power. BA was the perfect coach for Brady. He didn’t baby him but certainly respected his knowledge base and skill set.
I do not know anybody who is truly successful who didn’t have an ego driving that success. But BA is smart enough to manage his…Brady is smart enough to manage his…BL..ditto…Licht….
I do not know that I’ve seen a team with sooo much talent do such a masterful job of keeping their egos in check.
Well I take that back. I saw it last night when the ultra talented Lightning dismantled the “Cinderella” Canadiens. Like the Bucs…great GM…awesome coach…best goalie in the league…kinda like having the best QB…the best defenseman and two of the top forwards in the league with several more who could also be stars
Guys remember the start of this decade with fondness in the future. Very few sports town have the defending SB champs…defending Stanley Cup champs with both teams having a shot at repeating. Obviously at this moment the Lightning have the better chance of repeating but seeing the Bucs do it is far from out of the question. This year’s team should actually be better than last year’s.

I thought Lynn was a hell of a coach and finally got the Qb to get that team over the hump and they let him go. Those are some loaded, harsh words. Especially when you don’t know. Maybe Hubbert wasn’t ready at that time. I thought Lynn kinda got a raw deal.

Eison’s side kick is annoying and not too bright. For the record New Orleans isn’t a Easy coast team and the coverup that they’re in the eastern time zone is wrong too. Obviously on Central time.

Never heard anyone refer to a city on the Mississippi River as “east coast” unless maybe they were referring to East St. Louis.

Vrabel said he was just texting Tom & Julian about their hair. Ask if they went and got highlights together before the basketball game. They FaceTimed him back. Maybe it was the Titian’s. I thought Tom might have been talking about Miami. Not a winning team but has a ton of talent.
Eison’s cohost referred to New Orleans as a East coast team. Eison corrected him and he said eastern time zone. Eison late in the video corrected him on that too. MFer as a joke was stupid comment too.

The GOAT is way too smart to seriously entertain playing for Chucky. He wasn’t looking to close out his career being screamed at, watching a team be run into the ground, and going 9-7.
June 29th, 2021 at 7:03 pm
Really, another day with coverage of this nonsense?
June 29th, 2021 at 8:29 pm
The GOAT wanted a place where he could prove he was the better half of the Brady-Belichek equation.
I don’t want to try to know Brady’s mind, that has to be a scary place.

I think Brady is having a lot of fun playing the media. I see him sitting by his pool sipping a cold one and laughing his ass off.
