Rookie Joe Tryon Predicts A Super Bowl Win For Bucs

May 4th, 2021

Mark it down, the new Bucs’ first-round draft pick says the team is going all the way, baby.

Joe Tryon is the ferocious 6-5, 260-pound athlete/edge rusher the Bucs nabbed on Thursday night. He visited with SiriusXM NFL Radio to share his enthusiasm.

‘’They got a winning culture,” Tryon said. ”And once I seen that pick was on the clock, I knew I had a chance. You know, they told me if I was there at No. 32 they were taking me. When I got that Florida phone ID, man, my heart dropped. …I thought it was a joke, man. … ”They’re loaded at every position; that means we’re going to win another Super Bowl. And I cannot wait to get in and mesh with the team.’’

Joe loves Tryon’s enthusiasm. Joe also had a laugh thinking about Jason Pierre-Paul telling the rookie that he ain’t won sh** so maybe he should shut-up.

”I cannot wait to get to work,” Tryon said. ”I cannot wait to be a Buc and win another Super Bowl.”

Tryon added that ”he’s ready to prove my worth.’’

Fun fact, Tryon is a yoga enthusiast. ”Gotta stay limber,” he said.

Kids right. Yeah we’re going back to back, but stay humble and work your A!$, it wont come easy. All teams start 0-0.

  2. SB~LV Says:

    Love it !
Drafted some real attitude this year! Other than the last pick in the second round, and that was “ pinch me” gonna sit in the QB room with the GOAT !

  3. Cainishere Says:

Easy does it young one. Gotta play the games first. Rookies never understand the true scope of what it’s really like until they have to snap on the chin strap and go at it. They quickly realize that they are facing grown men who are fast strong and intelligent compared to the kids they are used to facing.

  4. HomerSimpsonRocks Says:

    Dude. STFU.

  5. SB Says:

His first sentence says it all……..”‘’They got a winning culture,” Tryon said.

Not something us Long time Bucs fans are used to hearing but DAMMM if it ain’t great!!!!!!
I have no problems with the rookie having a winning attitude.

  6. SlyPirate Says:

Practicing with JPP and Suh is going to be a culture shock.

Hopefully fellow alumni, Vea, can give him some tips before Day 1.

  7. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

Yep….Bucs drafted with players with brains above the shoulders. Bucs now have five criteria’s for the draft – not necessary in this order:

    1. Speed (all positions except QB)
    2. Length (Especially at CB)
    3. Brains (foremost at QB)
    4. Attitude (All positions)
    5. Power (OL and DL)

  8. Swampbuc Says:

Between Suh, JPP, Jensen, LVD, DW, Mike, Gronk, and Brady — this kid will get a mouthful of crow and a plate of humble pie. But what else does someone expect him to say, “We’re probably gonna suck?”

You go Joe! You go Joe!

  9. BA4President Says:

Well said Swampbuc. I imagine JPP in particular will be able to bring him down to planet Earth.

  10. firethecannons Says:

He’s got a good attitude. Good way to get started.

  11. PSL Bob Says:

Once he gets into training camp with the conditioning, learning the playbook, and seeing how pros go about their business, he’ll quickly understand that this is serious business. And, you better take it seriously or your arse will be sitting on the bench for a long time.

  12. Cobraboy Says:

For a guy with a skinny resume and who has not sniffed even a 3rd string QB in two years, this kid needs to just be thankful, humble, shut up and show us what you got on the field.

Learn some pro lessons from Lavonte David and Suh.

IMO, he is starting off on the wrong foot by running his mouth.

  13. SB~LV Says:

I have NO problem with that attitude !
    None at all !!!

  14. DingleBerry Says:

    He’s right you know.

I’ll give the kid credit on this one.

  15. Steven007 Says:

I’m between SB and Cobra on this one. Attitude is great. But his resume is limited. Get in camp be humble and learn from the pros. Start flapping your gums after your first multi-sack game.

  16. ModHairKen Says:

This kid is smart. Yoga is the key to longevity as an athlete, especially in a contact sport.

  17. Bucanero Says:

Walk the walk Joe. Go Bucs!

  18. Old School Nole Says:

If he was drafted by anyone else, I would say this comment is open to mockery. But since he’s a Buc, I say YOU GO, JOE!!!!

  19. Bucshot Says:

Sounds like he is aching to be hazed the NFL way…..

  20. Thomas Edrington Says:

Shut up Rook…..no one cares what a Rook says, this is a veteran team, shut up, show up and keep up!

  21. BUCFAN4LIFE Says:

I love his enthusiasm but it will be knocked down a few notches when he finally takes the field in training camp alongside JPP , Barret , Suh and the rest of the starters . Hoping he keeps that attitude after being humbled which he definitely will be . GO JOE !

  22. Eckwood Says:

2 nd sentence says allot also ……….. Once I Seen ……. after 4 years of college ……… Hope the guy has a great career but seriously!!

  23. Ash Says:

Lol he didn’t talk about himself being the reason he said the team is stacked and he can’t wait to mesh in with a superbowl caliber team we all think this a superbowl caliber team so joe tryon can’t think that way? He seems to be excited to be apart of the bucs seems like a good attitude to me
