The emails hit Joe hard last week. They were from fans angry about the Bucs eliminating youth ticket prices in the upper deck.
The Bucs had a simple policy; buy a nosebleed seat at regular price and you could get a youth ticket along with it for half price.
Yes, there were abuses. Not every “youth” entering The Licht House (formerly the Den of Depression) was a child. Ticket checkers weren’t exactly all over it.
But now those inexpensive kids tickets are gone. Fans who had youth season tickets got their 2021 bills recently and the former youth tickets are priced at full price.
Per a Tampa Bay Times report, this is all part of profit taking at One Buc Palace. Bucs win big. Team Glazer wins big. The dying newspaper’s weekend typing claimed season passes are going up “10 to 45 percent” for next season.
Joe’s all for raising ticket prices. This is still America. But Joe’s also all for lowering concession prices, like other teams have done. And Joe is an advocate of Team Glazer issuing apology refunds for tanking the 2014 season finale and for Lovie Smith’s horrible crime earlier that season.

Driving from orlando is a lot and add in hotel and gas and almost 20 bucks for two beers and its a lot. On top of it , i paid good money for years we won 3, 4 and 5 games. Terrible product for to many years.
Bucs never offered me anything. No parking pass …nothing.
They gave one year upgrade to club to try and get us into club seating
Gonna enjoy one (maybe last) full season of this team with the goat – live in person

First… of course I renewed my tickets!!
But, I’m in prime seats on home side on 30 yard line off the field. Not youth tickets (which I have bought extra tickets on) in 23 years we never got a price reduction. Not during 2-14, not during myrsa, not ever. Even last year when they “gave us what we wanted” and lowered our preseason games to $30 (a 80% reduction) but spread it over. At the exact same time virtually the government will be sending over 200 million Americans stimulus checks the Bucs rose my tickets 32%!!!! 32%!!!! After the last Super Bowl it went up a dramatic 5%. And of course the Bucs still are at or below average on ticket prices (of course they are because the average pay in 75% of other states that have football is much higher)
It doesn’t effect me going, it doesn’t effect me going to year 24, it doesn’t effect my passion. But it has to effect some of those 65,000 who may not be working and/or that have lost people during this pandemic. How many times anywhere do you see a price increase 32%. And the thing is, the prices never go down!!
But…… the Bucs now have 2 DAYS, TWO DAYS to show us all that extra money is going to the field and Godwin, Barrett and David under contract before free agency

Have always scalped…..always will…..cheaper every time no matter what the Bucs are doing…..(never buy from anyone with sign, “I need tickets”)

Bud lite/ miller lite usually 8 per. Still a lot of money for a water beer but i like a beer in hand during the game

Yeah, it’s the Glazers taking profits. Bucs are winning and we have Tom Brady. That will sell tickets. They will ride that train as long as they can.
But also I think many people will be shocked at the things that will go up in price over the next year or so. Not just in the NFL but other businesses. Most things will go UP in prices, not down despite the pandemic. Many businesses seem to have the opinion once things get back to normal, they can raise prices to make up for the revenue losses of the pandemic due to pent up demand. Disney and Universal are planning to RAISE ticket prices. Cruise lines will go up in price. Airlines and hotels too.
Look at the stock market. Look at real estate and rental prices. None of this is skipping a beat. It’s only ever going up. And every time it looks like the market is about to go into correction, the government floods more money to ward it off. No one wants a recession on their watch. So we are going to see inflation now. Everything is going to cost more.

The WHOLE reason for going all-in was economic: win the big one, demand goes up, and reap the financial rewards.
Same thing happened after the 2002 SB: ticket prices, parking and concessions all went up.
With luck, so will the cap.

I’ve been keeping my powder dry to buy some more rental property in SW FL. Holy, smokes! I thought some prices would soften, but thanks to folks flooding FL from high-tax, lockdown states, they’ve gone up! I have bird-dog realtors going crazy! They say the demand is nuts!
I’m trying to sell some houses in Atlanta metro area. The demand has skyrocketed, but I can’t evict tenants because of the covid emergency rules, eviction courts won’t go back in session until June, and I cannot sell a house with tenants in it. It’s crazy! Folks are desperate to buy, but gubmint says I cannot sell.
I’m building a house down here in the DR. In 9 months the cost of materials has gone up 15-20%! And concrete delivery has a 30-day wait period!
Inflation is gonna whack everybody bigly.

Just pulled the trigger on renewing my 4 x Club Seats. Sat out last season due to the Vid. Hoping to witness another magical season, this time in person. But it is getting harder to justify these ticket prices in every sport these days.

They have a 1-3 year window. When Brady goes unless some QB falls from the heavens onto the Bucs roster they won’t be picking in the top 10 ever. Bucs likely head back to a .500 ball club.
Maybe that’s when I call it a day on my season tickets.
Although you know, when the team is getting pummeled you don’t get as stressed about the game cuz we didn’t have a friggin chance to win, lol !
It’s just drink expensive crappy domestic bears. Well to be honest I make an effort to buy the Terrapin Hopsecutioner beer, highest ABV in the stadium (7.3%).

i would like to think that bucs mystery box you receive every year with your season passes will be a quality upgrade of gifts & goods from recent years – due to all the extra revenue from bucs season ticket support…

I’m just over here in Oklahoma – never having a chance to go to a Bucs game with the fam. Sorry y’all’s prices went up. Also the only cure for a sixteen dollar beer is to never pay sixteen dollars for a beer.

Never heard a single complaint about any prices before like, man why are tickets so much man we suck this year or anything of that nature so why moan and groan now? We’re CHAMPS now so of course they are going to go up, why wouldn’t they? I would love to be close enough to have season tickets to see my BUCS play. Most of the ones that are complaining are probably the ones that are abusing the free youth tickets anyway!! The free ride is over snowflakes! Go enjoy watching the BUCCANEERS kick some ass live and shut up. As far as the beer goes, TAILGATE! drink before you go in, BOOM, problem solved. Your welcome! #GOBUCS

I paid $125 for my Bucs season tickets in 1997. Not per game, that was for all 10 games, and the seats weren’t bad at all, sort of near the goalline, midway up in the old stadium.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d never want those peasant seats now, when I go to a game it’s club seating only for me — but back when I was young and poor even $125 was a lot of money. Now these idiots complaining about pricing are the same ones that voted for raising the min wage to $15 and then complain about a Big Mac costing $12.

Yep i paid $40 for season tickets in about 1990. Whole season. Then I stopped buying them for a few years because i realized Ricky Reynolds left two on his windshield every week. Just get there early enough. Of course i only took one because no friends would be caught dead at a bucs game. Now because of bandwagon city we are outa control. The 200,000 people on the waiting list and few winning season and tickets were way up. Then team starts sucking and almost all 200,000 bandwagoners decide not to buy. And this is what we get. If you’re gona go then go all the time!!! If you’re not gona go when they suck and need you there more then sit ur asses home.

If you paid for the last 10 years, you can pay more for a SB champion. We are the only SB champion in the league. Our prices should be highest!!

Darin – I used to go to Storm and Lightning games at the Thunderdome and there was a place in the fencing that you could squeeze through, was like that for years, no idea why they never fixed it. Those Thunderdome games were fun, that place was as rowdy as Bucs games in the late 90s and early 2000s. I’d love for RayJay to get back to that atmosphere.

It’s not about it going up it’s the timing too. Last year those kids would of witnessed something the never experienced in their lifetime. Instead bucs were limiting seats to anyone over six seats. Let’s get the vaccine done and get everyone back and let those kids enjoy one year. There will be families dropping and yes we will seek out to Tom Brady bandwaggoners. I hope we never lose again but one things for sure when Brady is gone we are back to half a stadium and back the loyals. And guess what the loyals will continue getting beer and making the rich richer. Personally one year the same as it was is rewarding those dishing out yearly before Brady. 2022 then get rid of youth. The bucs care about concession the contracts give them the first million of revenue thus why see seldom any concerts TSA loses. Parking to the keep revenue first. Don’t forget buc fans our tax bought the stadium they didn’t do a merry Jones and build it with their money. One year back to normal is not much to ask.
