Tom Brady Scolded Teammate For Crying After Winning NFC Championship

No crying with Tom Brady!
Joe doesn’t think he’s ever seen Lavonte David this open.
Almost as if Joe was watching the star Bucs linebacker morph into Devin White, David, appearing on something called “All Things Covered” with former NFL defensive backs Patrick Peterson and Darren McFadden, was as outgoing and open as Joe has ever seen.
There, David told the story of a Bucs wide receiver (?) getting shut down by park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking Bucs quarterback Tom Brady.
And why was that? Because Brady’s teammate — David thought it was a wide receiver — was crying after being overcome with the joy of going to the Super Bowl.
Brady wasn’t having it and basically told the teammate to get a hold of himself and get his mind right, so David told Peterson and McFadden (who laughed their tails off hearing the story).
“I guess somebody was crying,” David said. “And I heard [Brady], ‘What the f*ck are you crying for? We’re not done yet.’ … He’s right.”
Hearing Brady chew out a teammate, David admitted he was emotional and quickly gathered himself before Brady saw him.
“I had a little two tears, too, and I wiped my sh!t,” David said.
Now Joe can fully understand how Bucs players began to tear up, especially David. Many of these guys have played on the NFL’s fire hydrant in a dog park for so long and knew nothing but losing with the Bucs.
All of a sudden they are in the Super Bowl? Hell, who wouldn’t cry after the Lost Decade to have this kind of immediate success?
But Joe does like Brady’s attitude: Do not be satisfied with just getting there! This is just a step. There’s unfinished business to take care of Sunday.
Then, if the Bucs win, they can bawl their eyes out for days.

Been there since ’76…..no tears from me…..a loss may have brought some.
As for Brady, I wouldn’t be a bit surprised that after a SB win…..he would be talking about going to work on returning next year…..”No time to cry, or celebrate…..let’s get to work”

If it was Mickens it was probably becuase he heard Brady say to BA, what the hell are you doing having Mickens on special teams when Miller is on the bench.
I’m pretty sure Brady looked pretty happy hugging his son Jack. Maybe he should of waited until after SB. Jackie boy, sorry no hug, let’s first pump, we ain’t done yet.

That’s awesome. Funny. Totally understand some players that have been around for a while being that emotional but also completely respect Brady for calling them out. Nope, we are not done.

McCoy was not there. He was brought up remotely on a phone or some thing because a lot of the players respect the hell out of him and are real tight with him.
As much as many of the fans on here are ignorant about him, he was a great player for a long damn time who never had someone like Vea next to him or a decent edge rusher around him.

How many other players out there could tell these guys not to get too high yet? Not many. Leadership ain’t important? I think it is!
Without things like this, this team would get too high last week and be flat losers on Super Bowl and have one of those patented Buccaneer blowouts on national tv.

buc 15.. its the mentality he’s trying to project. he doesnt want one single person settling, and being satisfied. he wants to make sure everyone is laser focused on this game. its good leadership, and once again shows how he thinks, and how it should permeate throughout the rest of the locker room, both while he’s here, and hopefully after he leaves

I never get teary eyed at the moment. Last Super Bowl was a blast, but I got more emotional watching the replay on NFL Network this week than I did at the time. And Rondes pick 6 at the Vet didn’t give me any tears at the time but to this day I cant see it without welting up. Sheet, just typing about it now got me a little verklempt.

When I throw on the SB DVD….I still cry to this day.

Giselle and her empire bring in supposedly twice what Tommy does , pretty sure that any harsh comments would be coming from her, not at her. Probably not much crying occurred in Foxboro when pats won many AFC titles it is the Belichek influence of never show emotion.
The most emotion I ever witnessed was at one buc place in 1977 after bucs won first game ever on road against saints , that was a party.

Why do some of yall hate are talk bad about players or coaches who used to be on the bucs staff ?? It’s like yall hope for the worse for them . Regardless how yall feel about Lovie Smith he built and coach the bears to a superbowl . He got fired after going 10 and 6 . Look at the bears every since he left .

Joe doesn’t give a sh!t about the Bears. George Sieffert won a Super Bowl with the 49ers. Surely you wouldn’t want him to coach the Bucs.
One of the main reasons the Bucs were a joke was largely because of Lovie, who was positively dreadful. Then he had one of his sons (his agent) badmouthing Jason Licht all over the place to anyone who would listen or who has an e-mail address accusing Licht of a palace coup.
Who ya gonna believe, the guy who just got fired by Illinois or the guy who just built an NFC champion?
This year the Bucs finally started climbing out of the hole Lovie dug for this franchise.

Joe Lovie didn’t set the team back it was Schaino who did . Remember Schaino was the coach who got rid of , Michael Bennett , Blunt, and our Coner number 25 I know his name but can’t spell it right now Talib I think . But he was the coach who broke up our defense . He got rid of key players then he drafted a free safety / Linebacker . That wasn’t Lovie and I don’t care about the bears either . I’m just stating facts yall made Lovie the scapegoat for this team but Schaino is the one who got rid of key players on our team wich set us back . But I’m glad we are in the superbowl but after Brady then what ???
