When Brady Passes A Lot
February 3rd, 2021Interesting numbers Joe found in reading a Super Bowl projection of what park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking Bucs quarterback Tom Brady may do Sunday in Super Bowl LV.
Hayden Winks at Rotoworld.com projects Brady to throw 41 passes. That seems like a lot. Especially, as Winks points out, the Chiefs don’t often load the box on what is considered “neutral” plays, meaning second- or third-and-medium.
The way the Bucs seems to like to run the ball, Joe wouldn’t be surprised if the Bucs try to take advantage of this. The offensive line is playing extremely well and the running backs have been having good games.
Winks also pointed out something else about Brady’s projected 41 pass attempts. In each of the Bucs’ losses, Brady has thrown 36 or more passes.
But the 36 passes may not automatically be such a bad sign. Brady and the Bucs are 9-5 overall when Brady has thrown at least 36 passes.
Still, the 41 passes attempted projection feels on the high side to Joe. It sort of suggests this same projection has the Bucs trailing in the second half.

Looks like rain could end up having an affect on play calling? Forecast doesn’t look very good.

The way our O line likes to get out and run on screen passes. I wouldn’t mind seeing us screen the ball to all of our eligible players at least once. So that is like 8 passes min for screens. Assuming we do that, it should open up the back door bomb to a TE RB.
To me the only way the Bucs lose this game is if we beat ourselves or the Refs beat us.
Once again. Time of Possession will be the key factor in this game. Win that and we win know matter how many times Brady throws it. And I doubt our boys will be dropping balls that hit them in the hands this game.
We got this. 55-45 Bucs.

Has anyone answered the question..
Maybe the joes can
Does tampa have a tarp?
YES, the field has been tarped previously. –Joe
I see it supposed to rain all day but should stop by game time
Just curious if we have field size tarp
Would make a big difference.
Otherwise …it will be mud bowl and we got some mudders on our team. 😂

Most of the RB success is from second effort not neccesarily from Oline. The Oline has been lights out pass blocking but average at best run blocking. It could be due to no fullback and RB’s predominantly run inside. Throwing that many times is because earlier Bucs were always behind early. If Bucs don’t throw they will lose KC’s passing O is too good. Now weather could be the great equalizer especially with Mahomes turf toe. Also not good for injured Bucs if they play.

Will definitely be using the running game but I’ve been deceived by the Bucs in not using the run game. I expect RoJo and Lenny are just as hyped to be lights out on Sunday like the rest of this team. I think the Bucs want it big time, especially under Brady.

41 or 36, sounds like a meaningless stat.
