Bucs’ Super Bowl Uniforms Revealed

Mystery is solved.
The big question for many fans isn’f Antonio Brown and/or Antoine Winfield will play in Super Bowl LV. Their main question is what uniform are the Bucs be wearing?
Joe has the answer.
Per Adam Schefter of BSPN, the Bucs, channeling their road success this year, will be wearing pewter pants and white jerseys.
Thank goodness they aren’t going to eyerake America with those hideous all-pewter things.
So no, the Bucs won’t wear the home red jerseys and pewter pants.
No specific reason was given. Joe’ guessing since the Bucs have been on a roll wearing white, why — in the immortal words of Joe — would you try to fix something that’s not broken?
Or could it be white jersey sales are lacking?

I would have liked to see them wear the solid pewter uni’s, but the pewter and white looks pretty good too.

I am simply happy they ditched the digital alarm clock jerseys of the 2010s. Pewter pants and white jerseys got them to where they sre so Joe is right, why the heck change.

Pretty sure chiefs are considered “home” team due to the record of each team. Therfore they choose uni color and we get the other. Could be completely wrong tho.

The NFL will basically be running everything at the game so no cannons. Kinda sucks though.

The NFC is the home team in odd Super Bowls, and the AFC is the home team in even Super Bowls. Since 55 is obviously odd, the Bucs would be the designated home team and picks the unis. KC will pick the coin toss.

I like the white on pewter…and yes am I glad the last 5 year experiment of clown uniforms is over. I believe this is a change up from when they lost to the Chiefs earlier this year ( their last loss by the way )…so a change of pace there as well.

I’ve been wearing the same jersey, short, shoe, sock combo this entire playoffs. You can’t mess with what works. Supposedly white jerseys in the Super Bowl have won over 62% of the time. In the end just Win baby! It’s our time! Go Bucs!

but joe, the all pewter is a wicked look bruhhh…
the interesting thing is when the team introduced the new unis, they offered up all the looks and jersey/pants combos like a lookbook…and the white jersey w/ pewter pants wasn’t on it…
glad they realized the pewter pants and white jerseys should trump the all white look…white/white should be featured in the heavy heat…
pewter is our color…we’re the only team in the league with it…might as well own it and feature it

I’m probably crazy here but I think the red jerseys at home are harder for Brady to distinguish the receivers with the red background at RayJay. Also could affect depth perception on longer throws. White has to stand out better for him. Feel free to call me an idiot. Any small advantage helps. Lol

I’m tired: I’m with you. Very superstitious. I wore the same sweatshirt during the playoffs and then Sunday it was hot ( watched the game with friends in an outdoor setup) so I had to put on shorts, flip flops, and put my hair in a ponytail. Couldn’t go without the sweatshirt so I tied it around my waist so I’d still be wearing it.

The NFL were on site to inspect the red jerseys but they were all faded so the team was ordered to wear the white ones.
After the SB there will be an investigation. A 500 page report will be produced. It will transpire that Tom Brady prefers “softer” colors. It will turn out that the employee who brought the jerseys for inspection stopped at the bathroom for 1 minute and 7 seconds during which time the jerseys were faded. It will turn out they call that employee “the bleacher”. The report will show that “the bleacher” apparently exchanged a number of text messages with Brady, but the content will never be recovered because Brady “destroyed” that phone after upgrading to a new iPhone (even though the NFL never asked for the old phone).
A number of scientists will point out that colors fade due to wear and tear and particularly after a laundry cycle, though the NFL will maintain that once set colors never change unless tampered with.
Brady will be asked to apologize or face a lengthy suspension. He will not apologize one bit, so the NFL will suspend him for four games, fine the Buccaneers one million dollars and mandate that the Buccaneers wear the red jerseys every game.
The NFL will conduct a study whereupon they will check the color of each jersey with a spectrometer before every game, at half time and at the end after the laundry is done. The result will never be made public.
Tom Brady will come on a revenge tour after his suspension and win the super bowl. Roger Goodell will be forced to present the Lombardy trophy to a red shirted Brady with the rest of the team cheering also in red jerseys. That will be the year after they won the super bowl in white jerseys, of course!
It will be known as Jerseygate.
