“Hell, No!” Bruce Arians Says A Super Bowl “W” Will Not Send Him To Retirement

No one would blame Bucco Bruce Arians for diving into golf, whiskey and grandchildren full-time if he won the Super Bowl in 11 short days.
The Buccaneers’ leader is 68 years old and is proud of getting a “C” grade when he goes for a physical exam.
But Arians was adamant today that he will have none of that. The head coach told WDAE this morning that he will not quit and will return for Year 3 of his tenure in Tampa.
“Hell no! I’m going for two,” Arians said when asked if he would step away.
So there you have it. And Joe suspects Tom Brady would say the same thing.
Arians is in a fantastic situation, so Joe is not surprised. Arians has a huge coaching staff he trusts, with Todd Bowles in full command on defense. On offense, Arians admits, “I don’t do sh**, really.”
It’s a very sweet gig that now comes with a legendary presence at quarterback.
Joe suspects Arians will be here as long Brady, or as long as he wants, whichever comes first.

Every year that Brady is on the Bucs, they are a serious contender for a Super Bowl Title. Bruce is going to ride this wave into retirement. Brady could be in Tampa longer than 2 years, and I hope he does. The only thing that would keep Bruce from staying HC, is if his health will not allow him. He is having the time of his life. GO BUCS!!!!

General George Marshall was the top military leader during WWII.
He oversaw Ike in Europe and Nimitz and MacArthur in the Pacific.
At NO point did any of those Generals ever see the battlefield. Does that make them less important? They all shared a critical attribute of any GREAT leader.
The ability to find great subordinates and get the hell out of the way.
BA is a resounding success because he gets true leadership. Find the right people and get out of their way. It doesn’t mean he’s doing nothing. He has to gather and coordinate the entire staff. It’s BA who sets the tone, tempo and personality of this team.
BA also is able to put his ego on the back burner. He lets Brady be Brady…Bowles and BL and all the coaches are respected.
Yes many have said we wouldn’t be in this SB without Brady. I won’t argue that point. I would simply add…there would be NO Brady without BA. And I salute Licht’s contributions as well but again…chances are there would be no Todd Licht still around if it wasn’t for BA who appreciated Licht’s talent a lot more than many of our posters here. TL is in the running for NFL exec of the year.
But make no mistake….NONE OF THIS HAPPENS WITHOUT BA!!!
If he doesn’t scarf up every coach of the year award the award is meaningless.

I hope all the 1-yr and potentially expensive free agents feel the same way. Take a 1yr team-friendly deal and ride the Brady Train as far as it goes. Superbowls now. $$$ later.

I suspect many older veterans feel the same way, and would take a short-term team-friendly deal loaded with team performance incentives to stay.
It’s better to go out on top with a winner, than retire in obscurity elsewhere with a few more coins in the pocket.

I think they lose Fournett and Brown, re-sign Godwin and get OJ Howard back. Draft another DB & DL and young quarterback to learn.
With a full training camp… They are set up to be better next year
