$500 Ira doesn’t get Lynch or Barber into the Hall this year. I’ll take my winnings in the form of the Joe who’s name begins with an L to drop the silly few sentences he inserts any time when speaking about Brady.

Two Points:
First, I have a very strong idea, a very strong notion, that Jason Light actually targeted Wirfs and was elated the way the four OTs fell in the draft. I got that notion from something Light said soon afterwards and from someone else’s comment that I read somewhere. I don’t recall the details of when and where.
Second, regarding Lichts “terrible pick” in the 2nd round of Roberto Aguayo, CONSIDER THIS. How often does any team in the NFL bring in a new field goal kicker and give him the job without any competition for such an important role? I put the blame for that failure squarely on Dirk Koetter as head coach. (I can’t imagine JL drafting him and then going to Koetter and saying “Now make sure he has no competition in the preseason for the job!) Kickers are notorious for being head cases.
C’mon Joes, Sage. Give me a break here! Correct me if I am wrong. Let’s have some insider poop.

One of the best things IMHO about being in the playoffs is, all the national attention we are getting!
Lately, nearly every Arians press conference has been attended by National Media People!
I can not see us losing to Washington, no way.

As far as Aguayo, to Licht’s defense, Joe always thought Licht’s argument for taking him was logical (just not football logic). Licht said the Bucs needed to score points and Aguayo was the best kicker he ever scouted.
What we learned since (coming straight from Aguayo) was that after the Bucs drafted him, he got the hare-brained idea to change his swing because he read Tiger Woods changed his swing (forget for the moment one guy is a kicker and the other is a golfer). The Bucs apparently didn’t know this and Aguayo screwed himself up.
