Brady Is On Fire
January 8th, 2021Joe had to look at the stats below two or three times before they sunk in.
The Bucs have a Hall of Fame quarterback on an absolute tear.
The Bucs have a playoff game in less than 40 hours at the time this story is published Friday morning.
Yes, Joe remembers Doug Williams leading the Bucs in the playoffs. He wasn’t exactly tearing the league apart at the time. Then there was Trent Dilfer. Lawd, that guy made a come-from-behind drive seem like less work than building a railroad by yourself.
Then there was Shaun King. A sentimental favorite, he was still the lead dog in an offense that scored one passing touchdown in two playoff games in 1999, including a ghastly no-touchdown effort in a one-score game in the NFC title game.
Brad Johnson came along and got to a Pro Bowl and won the Bucs a Super Bowl, but he was no Peyton Manning.
Now, the Bucs got a guy with six rings who people somehow strangely refer as a farm animal.
Sometimes, Joe thinks it is too good to be true even though it is very true. And real. And man, if there is a hotter quarterback entering the playoffs, Joe would like to know who that guy is.
Actually, there is no other guy. No, not even Josh Allen. Per CBS’s NFL news desk, no one in the NFL is putting up numbers like Brady has in the past three weeks. Nnnooo — body!
Damn, how surreal is that?
As David Lee Roth once sang, “Good God, y’all!“
Yes, a quarterback A Bucs quarterback.
Lead the way, Tommy!
Perhaps no QB heads into the playoffs as red-hot as Tom Brady.
Since Week 15:
1,137 Pass Yards (most in NFL)
10 Pass TD (most in NFL)
10.1 Yds/Attempt (most in NFL) pic.twitter.com/LE7GlwYAf7— NFLonCBS (@NFLonCBS) January 4, 2021

I don’t wanna burst anyone’s bubble, but since week 15, our opponents have consisted of:
The 4 – 10 Falcons
The 5 – 10 Lions missing their entire coaching staff
The 4 -12 Falcons
That said, definitely glad to see the offense executing at the level it has lately, which can only bode well for us even against better competition.
Go Bucs!

And just weeks ago he was compared to gardner minshew and long ball sucked and if he could just play better bucs would win
😂
I knew brady would be good. (Lets face it he had zero healthy weapons last year and still put team on back). Even at 43. I just didnt think he would look this good. Unfortunately , the game i was able to go to this year was saints game. I mean what a crapper. A little Upset i could not see this greatness live in person cause he is chucking dimes down the field right now. 50 yard passes and it looks like he is not giving it his all. He makes 350-400 yards and 3-4 tds look normal. And now he is in sync with receivers. AB too. They have three WR 1’s on team and gronk is option 4. I mean this is fantasy dream team here for brady and us.
I think they should Put mike evans in slot or have him run short routes and be possession receiver for game. No need to have him run 30-40 yards down field every play. Let AB and godwin and miller run all over the rest of the field . Cant wait for tomorrow and cant wait to see brady live next year honestly
Best free agent signing ever in buc history. He has given bucs swag again. And hope.
Not sure they make a huge run this year cause the defense gives up way to much , but a few tweeks next year mainly on defense side and i do think super bowl run could happen. But anything goes in playoffs so anything possible.
But lets stomp the washington whatevers first Alex smith is a great story but i hope suh buries him

If you were in my generation you would’ve been a Hendrix fan! 😎 😏
Go Bucs! Annihilate the Washington “Playoff Team”!
January 8th, 2021 at 8:25 am
The Bucs will be fine “IF” they protect Brady. They can score enough to overcome their sometimes suspect secondary. So they still have an honest chance to make it to the big Dance. If they would have scored against the Saints or KC it would have been different Ball games. Not saying they would have won either game, but it would not have been a curb stomping either by the Saints and KC. GO BUCS!!!

I listened to the Ira Kaufman podcast yesterday and I was disappointed. Lee,Steve and Ira are talking that this team is going to the Super Bowl. That is what I ultimately want but this is the same Bucs team that lost to the Bears, remember that ? The same team that almost lost to the Giants, remember that ? Is this team peaking ? Sure but to overlook the Washington football team is arrogant ! The bucs have been up and down all year and the WFT defensive line is good. My point is stop overlooking teams with this inconsistent team we have. Gobucs !

TB probably has the best trio of wider receivers in NFL history to throw to. And his TEs are above average. That helps.
January 8th, 2021 at 8:48 am
Who’s over looking WFT??? All anybody talks about is their defense and all the things it’s done, but theirs isn’t too much better or better in many categories than ours which is just as good. Plus it has a tendency to make big plays in the 4th.Their offense struggles to score o ours isn’t. That defense gave up 30 to Detroit is ZERO. I fully expect us to win and win handsomely! That’s not being arrogant but realistic.

As for Brady’s impressive stats, don’t forget he lost 2 or 3 TD’s or long connections against ATL by two slips on the wet turf and Miller’s unusual fumble/interception.
January 8th, 2021 at 8:52 am
Clueless Joe (Joe who starts with an L and is always blubbering on about cheerleaders) loves to talk about production on the podcast. You can keep Taysom Hill’s backup and 5k passing yards, let the educated fans have Brady and his 43 TD’s.
Go Bucs!!!

Now, the Bucs got a guy with six rings who people somehow strangely refer as a farm animal.
Park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking Bucs quarterback Tom Brady.
Which one of these is the most strange?
January 8th, 2021 at 9:20 am
Tristan Wirfs has faced Chase Young in College, and always won those encounters.
Here is some film to watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loLz3yy_geE
As long as we can protect Tom Brady, no way Washington can hang with us.
Tom Brady has been on Fire lately, and I think this will continue against Washington.
January 8th, 2021 at 9:21 am
TBBF, funny.
January 8th, 2021 at 9:32 am
Ha ha ha TBBF.
Where diid that Paul guy go anyways?
January 8th, 2021 at 9:40 am
EVH guitar is absolutely insane. No effects, just him. Crazy. Love Hendrix, too. Let’s enjoy the Bucs curb-stomping the “WTF” Football team.
January 8th, 2021 at 10:19 am
Ahem….“Good God, y’all!“ was stolen from the likes of James Brown and Joe Tex. Hardly first sung by DLR!
January 8th, 2021 at 10:34 am
Too much is being made of the last three weeks of the regular season. Nobody in the NFL had an easier final four games than the Bucs.
The Saints, Rams, and Chiefs games are what we should be looking at and studying. Those are playoff teams with playoff caliber players and playoff caliber coaching staffs, and we lost to all of them.

jimbobbucsfan; I’m with you. I saw Led Zep in 1972, Santana, etc etc etc. All I hear about is Washington’ front 4. Don’t get me wrong, they are really good but let’s not forget who is our QB. One would think he has never played a great D-line. He had the greatest coach of all time. I suspect he will know how to handle it haha. Just think about this. TB has been to 9 SBs, won 6 of them and God only knows how many playoff games but this is the FIRST TIME he has EVER played as a wildcard. That is an AMAZING stat. I’ve never been a coach but after 60 yrs watching the NFL, you notice things LOL. keep a tight-end and possibly a RB in to block. Thats assuming they start getting to Brady. I’ve been a Tompa fan his entire career. If they get to him often, I suspect he will adjust. Cause we damn sure can’t depend on Todd B
January 8th, 2021 at 10:42 am
besides Led Zep and Santana, i’ve seen Eric Clapton, Hank Jr, Lyn Sky 3x, Kid Rock, Jimmy Buffett 2x, Iron Butterfly etc. So COME ON Bucs lets ROCK AND ROLL tomorrow night. It will be a riot. WOOPS my bad hahahahaha
January 8th, 2021 at 10:53 am
That is true UB but the Falcons had KC Beat!
Their Kicker ( who may be the best in the league) missed a chip shot field goal
January 8th, 2021 at 11:33 am
unchained joe
January 8th, 2021 at 11:40 am
I loved watching those games as much as anyone but the Lions that week were not just a regular bad NFL team. That was the most handicapped team in the history of the league that was already a bad team. As fun as it was it feels more like bragging about your Madden stats playing on rookie. Even as bad as the Falcons are, they are just a regular bad team. The Lions were a complete different level.
If it wasn’t for the sickness I’d let this get me more excited.
January 8th, 2021 at 4:04 pm
Start game in hurry up offense.
January 8th, 2021 at 7:33 pm
After living with sub-par qb play for the majority of my time watching the Bucs, I am going to savor every second of having Brady on our team.
January 8th, 2021 at 8:34 pm
I was not impressed with Brady or BL’s game planning most of the season, but I can admit I was wrong. Loving watching the team blossom at the right time.
January 8th, 2021 at 11:28 pm
Tom is ballin and I am rooting for him to keep it up. My fear is the fact that we have only beaten one winning team all season. Being that the defense spotted us a 14 – 10 lead and never allowed another point, he had little to do with that win. I am anxious to see Tom come through when we need him against a quality team. I hope to see that next week.
