Sort Of Secret Playoff Weapon?

The guy Buccaneers players say is the fastest man on the team and exceptional at tracking the deep ball is also a guy rarely thrown to.
Bucco Bruce Arians spoke this week about not having to show several planned plays against the Lions because the rout was on early, and he added the Bucs will have plenty of fresh looks for defensive coordinators in the playoffs.
Cameron Brate also was gushing about a guy he thinks is going to be an offensive catalyst going forward. That would be receiver Scotty Miller, and Joe’s wondering if the Bucs might be waiting to unleash Miller in the playoffs.
“Scotty has some pretty unique talents,” Brate said of Miller. “I mean, he’s the fastest dude on our team. Definitely the smallest dude, but the fastest dude on our team and he does a great job tracking the deep ball, which is really hard to do and not all those speed receivers can do it.”
Continuing on the Buccaneers Radio Network, Brate said Miller is a “totally different player” this season and is “another guy, just every single time he’s asked to make a play he does it.”
Then Brate jumped ahead to the playoffs without being asked. “I’m sure we’re going to be seeing Scotty make some more plays coming up here in a couple of weeks.”
Miller’s playing time and targets have been cut drastically since Antonio Brown arrived. But Miller proved ready and capable in the critical Vikings game in December. Of his just five snaps, one was a 48-yard touchdown bomb of a throw-reception.
Joe’s got January confidence in Miller — and doesn’t believe he’s the next Edell Shepard.

Just how many late round WRs have not worked out…..looks like Scotty was a really good pick…..
I don’t know if Brady likes you because you are good….or if you are good because Brady likes you….but Scotty is good.

Brady and his buddy Brown will continue. Look for Arians to keep Brown and let Godwin test free agency next year.

Scotty Miller has speed to run longer developing routes, such as post routes .
This is a advantage when tracking a receiver, The open field gives a receiver
enhanced ability to adjust to the ball. Brady is particularly deadly with pattern
to the center of the field.

Why is this guy not returning punts? He is sure handed and fast, makes absolutely no sense to me. Listen, if anyone believes Brown should adhere playing time to Miller they don’t know football. This team is clicking leave it alone and keep him as the 4th target but for Gods sake, put him as a return guy.

I believe Miller would be just as effective as Brown (in the role Brown seems to play) at this point in his career, at a far lower price. Can’t see spending the money next year that it would take to keep Brown, when they’re so many players to be resigned. I desperately hope we find some way to keep Evans AND Godwin, likely need Gronk too, as Howard’s achilles will probably keep him out/diminished well into the preseason, maybe beyond

If the wind blows on Miller, he falls down. He’s easier to tackle than a wet paper towel.
If anyone thinks they are going to spring the Scotty Miller Show in the playoffs and not go Evans, Gronkowski, Godwin, they’ve lost their damn minds.

I never agreed with the Brown signing, and still don’t. He has not been that effective at all. He made a couple plays and everyone said he was great again.
But the truth is that for most of his plays, he does nothing.
However…he is here now. Nothing to be done about that, so I’ll support him. He could win me over if one of his plays takes us into a Superbowl though!

A “Dichotomy,” with the exception of Evans and possibly Goodwin, Miller and company are indisputable very good wide receivers. OR does Brady place the ball on the numbers where they can’t miss it. So far I lean toward the latter.

Getting Miller more touches turns into calling Brown mediocre. Hilarious. Guy grades out in the high 90s every week. Root for the team you have. It’s better than we’ve seen in 13 years. Go Bucs!

Scotty Miller definitely opens the offense up even more when he is utilized. (Allbuccedup) No way the Bucs let Godwin go. Not a chance!
