Bada Brindza Helps Bucs

“Remember me?”
Those who follow Joe on Twitter know Joe’s catchphrase on gamedays when a Bucs kicker yacks terribly, more than once.
That would be “Bada Brindza!” It’s a saying Joe got from accuracy-challenged former Bucs kicker Kyle Brindza, who lasted just handful of games in 2014.
The Notre Dame grad was one of the too-long list of Bucs kickers in the post-Chucky era that cost the Bucs many games if not playoff berths.
Thankfully, finally, Bucs kicking became boring with the arrival of Ryan Succop this season.
But man, did Vikings kicker Dan Bailey not only choke away a game for the Vikings today, he gave Bucs fans harsh flashbacks to kickers like Roberto Aguayo.

If Bailey makes his kicks, then it’s a two-point game in the fourth quarter. Different game? You bet.
But Joe has to confess. Joe got a great deal of pleasure and satisfaction watching another team’s kicker throwing up all over himself constantly on the turf of the Den of Depression.

If he made his kicks, they would have kicked a field goal on one of those fourth downs, instead of getting a TD and 2 point conversion. That would have left it a 7 pt game.
Plus, the Bucs would have played differently, and just been mentally weak and given up by halftime.

I kinda feel sorry for the Vikes kicker. Gid knows we have had our share of sorry A** kickers. So we know the feeling. My man Robeerto. I hope he used some of his NFL money to open up a business or something.

I’m glad he missed those today because tampa again looked bad. On paper the Bucs look to have a heck of a team. Come game day, they can never get into rhythm. Come the playoffs and playing a good team and they’re getting hammered if they don’t switch up the play calling. Plus the D and cornerbacks look lost a lot of the time. Did they quit going in early for film study?

Always said, its not just winning or losing a game its how you win or lose a game. Love my Bucs but they do not look like a playoff winning team.

Bucs are undefeated in the 4th quarter of the season.
They’re going to run the table…gaining confidence in each win, no matter how ugly.
A ‘W’ is a ‘W’…sure beats the alternative.
Finally, we’re playoff bound.
Didn’t lose any players to an injury. Rojo looked pretty damned good. Shady showed some mojo. Bucs fans didn’t get punched in the gut. Will enjoy being plugged in to all Bucs media instead of feeling depressed the rest of the week.
I’ll take it.

Todd, good points all. One question though – do you see this team making a deep run in the playoffs? I don’t unless the offense begins to establish a rhythm and dominance we have not yet seen.

My wife turned to me during the game and said can you believe it’s the other team for a change? Can you believe we actually have a good kicker?
Succup could be our secret weapon in the playoffs. His FG would have been good from 60. But it’s not length…at long last some consistency..even with the missed point.

bailey would have give them basically 7 extra points but we still would have won…
and we could have scored more on that final drive if we had no class
