Rondé Barber Believes Bucs Will Win Out
December 12th, 2020Who is ready to see our beloved Buccaneers finish 11-5?
Legendary Tampa Bay cornerback Rondé Barber thinks that’s what fans will see from the Bucs over the next 30 days, so he explained on The JP Show this week.
Barber said Sunday’s Bucs opponent, the Vikings, are “overachievers” in large part because Minnesota head coach Mike Zimmer is one of the best coaches Barber has ever spent time with.
Still, the dangerous Vikings won’t have enough for the Bucs coming off a bye week, said Barber, who was clear that he spent time with Bucco Bruce Arians during the past 10 days.
“This is a [Vikings] team that will beat you. I don’t think they’re good enough to beat the Bucs, but they will beat you, if you hear what I’m saying …” Barber said. “The Bucs will win this game and I like the rest of their schedule. I mean, they should beat Atlanta twice and they should beat the Lions. And enough said.”
Joe loves the enthusiasm and yes, the Bucs can get this done.
However, Joe knows Barber, who always delivers cerebral and thoughtful Bucs analysis, trends in the rah-rah direction when it comes to his team. Joe still hasn’t recovered from Barber saying Chris Conte “had the best movement I have ever seen at safety.“
And Joe still shutters in disbelief remembering when Barber said Vernon Hargreaves was the third-most talented cornerback in Bucs history.
Still, Barber is on on the money when he says the Bucs should win out. Now go get it done!

Ah yes. “Fan-Favorite” Chris Conte.
Never gets old.

He’s diplomatically saying there isn’t a team left on our schedule that can beat us….except for us! They can’t beat us but we could sure lose if we come out with our heads up our rectums once again.

Other than being above average, I don’t know what this team is even this late in the season. I could see us winning out or losing the next four. Atlanta will be hard to beat twice, so 10-6 would be nice. 😜

One game at a time…

I hear what you’re saying Joe. I’m sure #20 would like to take those comments back. Still, I don’t doubt the credence of what he said, because, as we are all too aware, posessing exceptional physical talent and being a productive football player are two COMPLETELY different things.
Apples & Oranges.
Fords & Ferraris.
Rachel Watson & Rosie O’Donnell.
Sadly, our most-recent former QB is the “Poster Child” for this.

We don’t need this game to be close…..Cousins is an extremely good 4th quarter quarterback…
Get the lead and step on their throats……don’t coast….

Front office has demanded to give RoJo the ball. His 100 yard games have been at least 17 carries. 3-1 in those games.

I hope he’s right. He also said Jameis was the man.

I hope I’m wrong. I started this year saying 12-4. Frankly, I think 10-6 will be hard to match.

I don’t know about winning out, but we should have no problems tomorrow with Minnesota.
Yes, they are 6-6 but just barely.
They just barely beat the winless Jaguars, and we are much higher up the food chain.
I am more worried about Atlanta, to be honest.
Tomorrow, we eliminate the Vikings from the playoff hunt.
Detroit is also motivated, now that they got rid of Matt Patricia.

I LOVE Ronde.
But his glasses are way too rose colored when it comes to the Bucs.
This team SHOULD win out, but I highly doubt they will. 3-1 seems more likely, because after all, we are the Bucs.

Fair to say we are an above average team that should and usually does beat lesser teams. But we have really struggled against contenders. If our defense plays great we should be favored in all 4 remaining games. If our offense plays great we should be favored in all four games. If both the offense and defense play at their full potential we should win all four games. But sad to say its hard to have confidence that the Bucs can play four complete games in a row. They look great at times and very average at other times. Pass rush and running game need to play big for the Bucs to finish strong.

Matt Gay made a team winning kick.
That fact still boggles my mind.
The refs beat us twice.
We’re better than our record shows.
But, at least the ridiculous false positive PCR tests that don’t test for a virus haven’t (yet) screwed the Bucs.
This boogie virus doesn’t even exist. Those who believe it does are under a media-induced spell.
Research ‘The Great Reset’ and thank Klaus Schwab for f—king up football and everything else we hold dear.

It’s only been a decade of misery. We have not forgotten. We are owed a Christmas light. Our fans have seen enough please let the light shine on. Brady we need you. Go Bucs! You can do it!

Todd,
Please go send in some more money to your savior and then please go break away from the rest of the nation with the Texans. The sane people don’t want you here coughing on the rest of us. Thanks.
P.S. It is real, I’ve already had it and it sucked.

I partially agree with Barber. Conte received the best stiff arm I have ever seen from a Bus:

I believe that was the end for him. Can’t blame him, I’d hide too.
