Antonio Bryant To Be Bengals’ Top Receiver?
March 8th, 2010Some of Joe’s posters openly wondered why, if former Bucs receiver Antonio Bryant was so valuable, why he wasn’t swept up by some other team?
That appears to be about to happen.
Word from Woody Cummings of the Tampa Tribune suggests not only is Bryant about to land in Cincinnati, he very well could be the Bengals’ top receiver.
The Cincinnati Bengals and Washignton Redskins have reached out to the 28-year-old wideout, who is expected to visit Cincinnati today, according to his agent.
The Bengals are believed to see Bryant as a second receiver behind Chad Ochocinco, but with the Bengals holding an option for 2011 on Ochocinco, Bryant could eventually move up to the No. 1 spot.
Though he did not name them, Bryant’s agent said two other teams have expressed an interest in Bryant, who may see either Washington or one of the other teams as a better option for him than Cincinnati.
A 2009 playoff team wants Bryant to perhaps be their No. 1 receiver but he wasn’t good enough for the Bucs?
Sad… depressing… confusing… Joe doesn’t know which word to use?

when will there be one article with some good bucs news in it geez
March 8th, 2010 at 7:45 pm
Well, Brian Clark is gone too as he was signed away today by I believe the Lions. Oh wait, you said GOOD news.
We have exactly 4 WRs on our roster right now that played at all for us last year and one of those is Spurlock who was playing in the UFL most of the year (no disrespect)

“Sad… depressing… confusing”
I agree Joe, I remember when we first signed AB i was more than thrilled and now he’s gone.
Tell us something Joe, give us a reason to let go of AB.
March 8th, 2010 at 7:55 pm
For god sakes who is going to be catching passes for us this year…ME??? That’s not to far off if you look at our depth chart.
March 8th, 2010 at 8:06 pm
At least AB is note going to a NFC South team. I couldn’t take that reminder twice a year.
I’m not looking forward to when the Bucs play the Lions this season. The Lions are at least trying to improve their team. The Bucs seem to be determined to flush their team.

dime a dozen C ya Bryant take your iceskates with you slipping all over the field short arming passes you cost the kid Freeman at least nine interceptions last season
March 8th, 2010 at 8:21 pm
Joe, just stop with this stuff and I will become a fan:
“A 2009 playoff team wants Bryant to perhaps be their No. 1 receiver but he wasn’t good enough for the Bucs?”
How does the Bengals possibly pikcing up AB this year to be a #2 behind 85 turn into a a playoff team wanting him as #1?
Let me use your same approach to describe AB another way so you might see how silly it sounds in reverse:
To date, not a single team in the NFL wants the Bucs former franchise player and #1 receiver. One team, the normally hapless Bengals, have inquired as to wether AB may be a good fit for their #2 spot, but they have yet to sign him.
March 8th, 2010 at 8:24 pm
If the Bengals are hapless what the hell are we?
March 8th, 2010 at 8:26 pm
Agreed . . . sounds kind of stupid right?
March 8th, 2010 at 8:48 pm
WELL BRYANT IS GONE AND NOW ONE OF OUR GOOD SPECIAL TEAMS GUY IS GONE WILL ALLEN TO THE STEELERS. I BETTER GET TO THE STORE AND BUY ALOT OF AA BATTERISE BECAUSE THEY WILL BE ALOT BLACKOUT GAMES THIS YEAR. I WANNA SEE THE GLAZERS BUY UP 40 THOUSANDS TICKETS THIS YEAR
March 8th, 2010 at 8:56 pm
When you have the “dream” defense, And the “Raheem” offense, you do not need players that can play. Raheem the Dream is such a genius that he doesn’t need players at all. And the Glazers don’t need any fans either. So don’t think that bothers them. Hell, we will probably be on Monday Night Football 8 times this year with our powerhouse team. Keep buying those season tickets boys & girls. You “will” be entertained. I promise. But only if you like a good comedy!
March 8th, 2010 at 9:11 pm
Please don’t panic! Joe and his media buddies know what to do, right Joe? The Glazerhouses know what to do, right? Glazerhouse will not be held up by anyone, right Joe? No cap year means nothing to the Bucs, right Joe? We can all set back and watch the games next season knowing that the Bucs are still CAP CHAMPIONS!! Right Joe?

Bucs trade for Reggie Brown from the Eagles for a 6th round pick in the 2011 Draft
March 8th, 2010 at 9:20 pm
Yes! We just got Reggie Brown from the Eagles for a sixth round pick. Now we can put his 9 catches with Stovall’s 24 catches with Clayton’s 16 catches to equal……a 3rd receiver on most teams.
So much for the youth movement by the way as he and AB are pretty much the same age.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
March 8th, 2010 at 9:31 pm
Mark Dominik is trying to lead the charge when the NFL network has a show titled dumbest gm moves ever made.
March 8th, 2010 at 9:34 pm
Will Reed are you stoned?? Bryant caused 9 interceptions last year. Rookie throwing 30 plus times a game and not being smart enough to throw it out of bounds or run strait ahead… PLEASE How about those one handed finger tip catches are those short armed?????
March 8th, 2010 at 9:52 pm
A playoff team wants Bryant as its #1 receiver. Uh . . . yeah:

Bryant is a crybaby…I’m really not obsessing over letting him go. With all his pouting, I don’t think he really wanted to be here anyways.
March 8th, 2010 at 10:28 pm
well we just picked up Reggie brown does that excite anyone. It does make me think that if Clayton does not show and prove he will be gone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!wohoo thank you God !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know the y will draft a reciever in the second round probaly Benn and Freeman has been high on shipley
March 8th, 2010 at 10:36 pm
First 4 picks for the Bucs:
1) McCoy – DT
2a) Weatherspoon – LB
2b) D Thomas – WR
3) J Shipley – WR
March 8th, 2010 at 10:54 pm
Reggie Brown did have a couple of decent seasons a few years ago. Who knows, maybe he will be decent.
And the headline really isn’t that confusing when you read the story.
March 9th, 2010 at 9:50 am
That one handed catch was two years ago against Carolina when the the game was already out of reach. So he makes three catches and he’s the solution. He didn’t want to be here jlynch check the tapes flipperhead how many times did he end up in the end zone fire them cannons
March 9th, 2010 at 12:36 pm
Maybe the Bucs are not that stupid after all:
