“This Was Just An Absolute Disgrace!”

November 10th, 2020

Appalled.

Adam Schein is giving the Bucs the roasting they deserve.

After one of the most shameful if not gutless performances this team has had in some time (which is saying a lot), in one of the biggest games the Bucs had in years, in probably the biggest stage the Bucs have played on since January 2003, the Bucs dropped the biggest load on the Bucs flag at midfield of the Den of Depression you can imagine.

Won’t have to worry about the Bucs playing on Sunday Night Football for quite a while.

Popular sports radio and television host Adam Schein took to his SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio show Monday morning to rip the Bucs a new one.

He also tore into the Bucs at NFL.com and warned NFL fans the Bucs may not be the Super Bowl contenders people thought they were.

The Buccaneers got smacked. They got punked. The Saints marched into Tampa on Sunday night and knocked the Bucs back into the creamsicle era with a nationally televised, prime-time beatdown.

The Buccaneers looked lifeless. They looked like they were playing in quicksand all game. No tempo on offense. No resistance on defense. It was 31-0 at the half!

Tom Brady played his worst game in memory. The G.O.A.T. looked dreadful. Three picks. He wasn’t close. Rob Gronkowski looked defunct, catching one ball on six targets — and dropping a touchdown pass. The offensive line lost the battle in the trenches. Tampa’s previously strong defense was shredded by Drew Brees, bullied by Taysom Hill.

There was a lot of discussion in recent weeks about Tampa Bay being the team to beat in the NFC. Pump the breaks on that sentiment. With a chance to make a statement on a big stage, the Buccaneers flat out embarrassed themselves. Sean Payton and the Saints deserve so much credit for taking full control of the NFC South race in astounding fashion. For Tampa, it was alarming. It was gross.

And if you think these words are harsh, get a load of what Schein said on “Schein on Sports” heard exclusively on SiriusXM. In short, Schein called the Bucs’ effort Sunday night, “just an absolute disgrace!”

It certainly was.

He’s right, they got flat out punked. I was in bed before halftime.

Yes it was a disgrace, but it was 1 game, on to the Panthers. Hopefully the coaches will quit sleep walking and wake up, and not set up this team to fail. They have done well most of the time, but against the Aints they just coached like an ostrich with their heads in the sand, and did not adjust. The Coaches are way better than that. Get back to pressure defense, and get the ball out of Brady’s hand quick, and run some. The Bucs could have mirrored what the Saints did on offense, short quick throws. Brady excels at that. GO BUCS!!!!

  3. Bucs4821 Says:

I remember when they went to Washington in 1989 and rushed 10 times for *1* yard! Hey! That’s 3.6 inches per carry! 😉

  4. T REX Says:

Embarrassing. Arians looked like an old geezer looking at the bingo caller at the local VFW wondering what numbers he missed.

And man, is it dead around here.

I’m back from a brief hiatus helping change the world.

    Man, that feels good.

  5. UKbuccaneer Says:

I’d lay whatever money you want that Jameis was hey to this victory – and not for his kneel-downs at the end. The Saints knew what was coming on every damn play.

  6. teacherman777 Says:

Tom Brady should call his own plays like Peyton Msnning did in his last years.

    Our play calling sucks!

We need to stick to the run game.

And play a no-huddle hurry up offense.

I guarantee Tom would be a better play caller.

Give Tom a hurry up offense and the power to call plays!

Disgrace? Shameful? Embarrassing? Lifeless? Smacked? Punked? Wow, Schein used quite an array of descriptors to depict the Bucs performance (make that NON-performance) Monday night.

Actually my favorite was ‘gutless’. Talent-wise the Bucs & the Saints aren’t that far apart. Coaching-wise, there’s light years difference … and the chasm there doesn’t favor the Bucs.

No less than 6 talking heads picked the Bucs to win in the pre-game show. These were ‘experts’, people who know football. And yet, it was 31-0 at halftime, the game was long over, and the Saints mercifully let off the throttle.

    o Bucs 1st half offense: PUNT (3 plays; 7 yds), PUNT (3 plays; minus 1 yd), PUNT (3 plays, 2 yds), PUNT (3 plays, 7 yds), INT (2 plays, 11 yds), DOWNS (8 plays, 37 yds), INT (3 plays, 32 yds). Total of 7 drives … 4 Punts, 2 INTs, 1 Out-on-downs. TOP – 10 mins for 27 plays gaining 95 yds.

    o Saints 1st half offense: TD (9 plays, 65 yds), FUMBLE (7 plays, 64 yds), TD (5 plays, 35 yds), TD (5 plays, 50 yds), TD (5 plays, 27 yds), FG (8 plays, 44 yds), END-OF-HALF (2 plays, minus 2 yds). Total of 7 drives … 4 TD, 1 FG, 1 Fumble, 1 End-of-half. TOP – 20 mins for 41 plays gaining 283 yds.

Yes it was a gutless performance on BOTH sides of the ball, and the performance was actually over when both teams took the field. One was prepared; the other wasn’t. Shameful.

Blame it on the New Cancer. Karma is a B!TCH.

  9. Defense Rules Says:

August 1976 Buc … You’re right, it was just one game. I’ve decided that I really don’t like it when all the talking heads jump onboard the Bucs train. Much better to sneak up on them, club them THEN take their lunch money than to have the whole world announce you’re coming and brag that you’re unstoppable BEFORE the fight even begins.

Reality to me is that Sean Payton & his staff have been successful at this for a LOOONG time. He’s an outstanding coach IMO who knows how to explore his opponent’s weaknesses. He did that masterfully Sunday night & all BA could do was just sit there and watch as his offense AND defense had no response. I won’t be at all surprised if Andy Reid does the same thing when we play the Chiefs.

  10. Rodmunch74 Says:

These same problems have existed for years. Bad coaching, no offensive line, terrible defense, no running game, poor special teams, etc. Just think, some of you thought Brady was going to come in and all these things were going to fix themselves. Signing Brady was about putting azzes in seats…nothing more, nothing less. The problem is, the virus foiled the Glazers plan.

  11. Ed Says:

Bucs gotta change their defense against the quick pass teams. No more playing off the receivers. Barrett and Pierre Paul need to get their arms up. Crossing patterns are killing them. I’d rather see them burned deep than let the other offenses maintain possession for 40 minutes.

  12. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I simply haven’t seen that Saints team show up vs anybody but us…

They struggled against Chargers…..FG hit uprights or they would have lost…

    They barely beat the Bears…

This has to be coaching…..also….I believe our Bucs were believing too much in their own hype……

  13. Bradinator Says:

I gave up at halftime. I refuse to wear any of my Bucs stuff this week. It was one of the worst games I can remember. The Glazers ought to refund the 15K poor souls that spent their hard earned money to watch some clowns “show up” and little else. That was ridiculous. Why so much soft zone when we have a bunch of press man corners. Why no blitz? Drew Brees had time to make a whole new Spotify playlist consisting of every single Led Zeppelin song. Why is one the best WRs in the NFL, Mike Evans, not even an afterthought in this offense? Rojo has 2 runs of 7+ yards and then we get a steady diet of Fainting Fournette (the dude just falls down at the first hint of contact)? That sucked. Bad.

NFL is all about matchups. Saints match up very well with our team. And I agree coaching is huge part of that.

But having an offensive minded head coach with a hall of fame quarterback and we get 3 points. 8 yards rushing. Alarming and gross doesn’t even capture it.

  15. PSL Bob Says:

Game summary – 5 carries (one a kneel-down) for 8 yards. That tells you all you need to know.

  16. Warrior Says:

Can’t blame that one on Jaboowins!

  17. TheBradyBunch Says:

No need to talk about the super bowl anymore. Maybe they can sneak in as a wild card team. Maybe! However, the road to the super bowl is going through Née Orleans and the Bucs aren’t in the same league as that team!

  18. SlyPirate Says:

    Everyone is deflated.

    Everyone is disappointed.

    Check.

Move on. Get better. Get a win.

  19. vic robertson Says:

its cool to see you all so hopeful! this bucs team …wow! i will be so shocked if they rise above this shameful embarrassment. we will see. cause now the saints showed the league how to beat the bucs-every time. 9-7 if were lucky. lets see if they punch back

  20. TOM Says:

Well they will probably beat the Panthers then we can all say how great they are & on to the Super Bowl.
