Worried for Bucs.
Peter Schrager is not liking what he is smelling coming out of the Den of Depression.
And no, it’s not coming from a men’s restroom after halftime.
Schrager, who Joe believes is a closet Bucs fan, said he’s picking up all sorts of warning flags after watching the complete embarrassment of the organization, the Bucs’ no-show against the Saints on Sunday night.
Schrager, co-host of “Good Morning Football,” seen on NFL Network, explained why he’s very afraid of what may be around the corner for the Bucs because in nearly half of their games (four), they smelled like someone forgot to ice up the fish they caught after an afternoon on the Gulf.
“I have serious concerns about this team,” Schrager said. “Here’s where the Antonio Brown thing [comes in]. I saw Mike Evans chirping a little bit on the sidelines. He seemed he was upset he was getting no targets…
“That’s not good!” NFL Network It-girl Kay Adams said.
“Then you have [Leonard] Fournette who barked his way out of Jacksonville… they had issues there. Then you got Antonio Brown.
This is when stuff starts bubbling up to the surface. … This loss can open up a lot of wounds. So this is going to be an important week. Because they were *embarrassed* [Sunday] night. And I don’t think they know each other to say, ‘Hey, we’ve been through it, we’ve done this. This is nothing. We can bounce back.’
“No, this is an All-Star team that was a really put together with pieces and parts. There’s no core of this team that has been together and through the stuff.”
Fellow co-host Kyle Brandt, while admitting it was an atrocious game by the Bucs, said he’s not about to shovel dirt on the Bucs because of the volume of talent on the roster.

My problem egg m is why was brown so involved in the game plan??? These guys grinded through training camp and brown is with the team he already is starting ?

In watching the clips they showed on the video above, the thing that stood out to me most was the total lack of pressure the Bucs put on Brees. Where were the blitzes that, in my recollection, were effective in the first game against the Saints? You would have thought that Bowles would have made adjustments after the Saints quickly went up 21-0. But I didn’t see it until late in the game when the ink on the death certificate was already dry.

Part of me agrees with him, but another part says that’s a half-truth. Bucs coaching has been meh at best IMO in about half of our games. What’s saved the day, more times than not, is turnovers … we’ve won the TO battle in all 6 of our wins and lost or tied that TO battle in all 3 losses. TOs seem to ignite this offense, and once ignited they keep making plays.
The other part that I think I’m seeing is Field Generalship. When Brady is ‘in command’ this offense is very methodical & we convert a lot of 3rd downs. When he doesn’t seem to be ‘in command’ this offense is abysmal; it’s like all the players are waiting on him to make something happen instead of stepping up themselves & making plays.
Kinda the same thing with the defense, but I think the kingpin there is Ndamukong Suh. When he has a monster game, the defense gets on fire & great things happen. When he doesn’t, the whole defense doesn’t seem to be ‘proactive’ for some reason. In Sunday’s game BTW, Suh had 1 solo tackle, 1 asst tackle & 1 TFL in 53 def snaps. The only one on the DLine who did anything of any significance was Gholston: 5 tackles (4 solo), 3 TFL, 1 QB Hit. Nunez-Roches played more def snaps (55) than Suh (53), Gholston (48) or McLendon (41) but only ended up with 2 tackles plus 1 QB Hit. McLendon had 3 asst tackles … that’s it. Yes we miss Vita Vea in the middle, big-time.

We have to start giving Evans the ball he’s the best receiver on this roster and Godwin isn’t far behind then it’s the other guys and I hate to say it but if we can’t get pressure to the qb our secondary is going to keep getting exposed every single time we need that pressure that’s what makes our defense is a beast because other than Davis and Winfield jr we have a very shaky secondary

If Brady doesn’t do what’s best for this team and start targeting Evans, who is open all the time but somehow Brady misses seeing him constantly, this whole season is going to go down the drain. Evans is the only weapon on offense that can dominate a game almost all by himself if given the chance.
I don’t know what Brady’s damn problem is, but I can see in Evan’s face during games that he’s pissed as hell. Something is not right about this. It’s almost as if Brady is intentionally ignoring him like he did with Watson.
If forced to choose I’d take Evans over Brady all day every day. Brady better get his sh-t together and do the right thing. Evans is a far more important player for the Bucs in the long term than Brady is.
For some reason Brady seems to be acting stubborn about the Evans issue and doesn’t seem like he wants to target him. This bullsh-t better get straightened out, and soon.

Our Oline was mauled….our Dline was porous……our secondary was 10 yards off receivers….(there is a reason why we got no pass interference calls.
We couldn’t score from first and goal at the 1 and that’s on Brown & Fornette?
At least Succop was on the money or we would have been shut out….

Worst coaching / play calling I have seen in a long time. Previous Bucs teams had worse losses but this team has too much talent to tank like they did Sunday.

I would consider 10 returning starters on defense and 7 of 11 offensive returning starters a core.

Media is so funny, two weeks ago, the Bucs organization was close to perfect, on every sense, against the Giants they said this is what good teams do, they get there way to win games when they don’t play good football….and now they had a very bad game, and we are back in hell…..What about if none of the two is true?
We are not a great team and we are not a disgusting team either…..We have great performances and really bad ones….. So just chill, and understand this is a sloppy team…..And will still be for the rest of the season, I’ve been saying this since the beginning…We are not on paradise and we are not on hell……

I’d rather see the entire team crap the bed for one or two games than have one area of the team lose it for us every week like we’ve seen the last ten years. 6-3 is still a very good record.

I will post this again, the bottom line is I do not care what the name is on the back of the Jersey, just WIN. I have seen a lot of losses since 1976. Forget about hurt feelings, just be a professional athlete who gets payed more money than most people will ever see in their lifetime just to play a game. just WIN, everything else does not mean diddley squat….. JUST WIN!!!
Holy Gronkamoli, what do you know, Tom is more comfortable throwing to Gronk. Might have something to do with 3rd all time QB and receiver TD combination. And a decade together. Looks like Tom is a creature of habit. Maybe it is Trust, belief, familiarity, whatever else. It looks like Mr 6 rings is actually a human being and not a Cyborg QB machine. I would run anything he is comfortable with, becuz he had been to 9 SB añd 6 Rings playing the way he is comfortable. I do not care about the name on the back of the Jersey. Evans or Brady or Winston, or Doug Williams, just WIN. Everything else may be good for chatter, and so be it, but all I want to see is a winning team. Whatever Tom is comfortable with, fine. Just win. GO BUCS!!!!!

HAHA well if all blows up I can tell you there will be a lot of people out of jobs at One Buc when this season is over. It will probably be a complete rebuild with the younger pieces getting to stay in place. New GM, Coach and QB

we aren’t melting down…
we just won three in a row before this loss…
let’s shake off this really bad game and win the next 3…
then take 3 out of 4 in the 4th quarter of the season schedule…
if we do that we finish 12-4 and in first place…
unfortunately i predicted 11-5 for the season and it seems likely…
and now i’m seeing the saints fin out at 11-5 too…and take the division…
we’ve gotta be 12-4 to win this thing…

The guy had one job this year … DON’T BE AN IDIOT.
Winston is better than a lot of starting QBs making $15-$20M/year, yet Winston is making less than $1M. His stupid antics literally cost him tens of millions.
But there he was, popping up on the TV, doing stupid sh**, and reminding the world you don’t want him as the face of your franchise.
