“When He Needs To Light A Firecracker On Your Ass, He’ll Do It, And Everybody Respects It”

A couple of champions sat down for a chat this week to discuss greatness.
The men in question were Richard Jefferson, who found himself in the NBA Finals three times during his years with the Nets and Cavaliers, and Buccaneers running back LeSean “Shady” McCoy.
The six-time Pro Bowler, who scored a ring with the Chiefs last season, hasn’t seen the field since Tampa Bay’s blowout of Green Bay. But he’s all about team and certainly wasn’t looking to be dealt at yesterday’s trade deadline just to pad his Hall of Fame stats.
Jefferson and McCoy talked about quarterbacks on ESPN and McCoy was pressed to open up on Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes.
First, Shady talked Bucs and said the locker room feels like one that will last until February.
“I feel the same way I did when I played with the Chiefs, like you could see the swagger, the championship swagger,” McCoy said.
He went on to explain that Brady is an incredible coach-like figure, noting Brady broke down the Giants defense for teammates and everything they would do. And Brady’s pregame assessments was right on the money, McCoy said.
As for Brady’s leadership, well, Joe loved this line from McCoy. “When he needs to light a firecracker on your ass, he’ll do it, and everybody respects it. You know what I’m saying? And it’s cool.”
One place Shady wouldn’t go was saying who was more of a championship QB, Brady or Mahomes. He dodged the question and said those stud QBs are “the old truth and the new truth.”

I don’t mind keeping McCoy in the locker room, and on the team. It’s the field of play I don’t want to see him on!

Hodad he’s not on the field much to begin with. He’ll get some touches. Just hope he can do a lil something with em lol. Man winning feels good!
