    Great Job Ira,, as usual
Unfortunately, many Buccaneers fans won’t be able to watch the game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday
Despite living within driving distance and their avid fandom, many Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans residing in the state of Florida will be out of luck when it comes to watching the game Sunday afternoon against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Buccaneers vs. Chargers matchup- which is scheduled to kickoff at 1 p.m. on CBS- has another competing game in a relatively close market which will make many fans of Tampa Bay upset.

According to the coverage map at 506 Sports, if you’re residing in central Florida you’ll be watching the Jacksonville Jaguars travel to take on the Cincinnati Bengals, not the Bucs’ home game against the Chargers.

Haven’t pulled up the maps yet but if you are speaking of Orlando, not even remotely close to the first time this has happened nor will it likely be the last.

Said market apparently has evidence (or more important, checks that have already cleared) it can (has?) sell (sold?) more ads for a Jags game than a Bucs game, otherwise the CBS affiliate would lobby the Tiffany Network/NFL to broadcast the Bucs.

If I wasn’t a Bucs Fan, the last Florida Team I would want to see is the Jacksonville Jaguars play anyone!

    Ira,
I have the old rolling stone with top 500 from 2003…we’ll consider it the proper list 🙂

    1. sgt. pepper
    2. pet sounds
    3. revolver
    4. highway 61 revisted
    5. rubber soul
….CCR in at 95 with green river, 392 with willy and the poor boys
Fogerty is still awesome….underrated group, CCR

  5. Buccfan37 Says:

Agree with Ira that John Fogerty and CCR were a great group with hit after hit in the 60’s and beyond. Hey Tonight and Traveling Band two of my favorites. Music that never gets old.

You might be right, Lee.  We Buccaneer fans suffer something like a cross between “battered wife syndrome” and being a “punch drunk” journeyman boxer as a result of the last 10 or 12 years.

I lived in Colorado for four years.  You have to live there for at least three months to adapt.  Yes, you get dehydrated living at a mile or more high when you first get there. You need to drink some extra water for a while. (I  never really got used to getting mildly zapped from static electricity when I went to open the door of my car sometimes.  That is how low the humidity is, even after a foot of snow falls sometimes.)

It takes a few months before your breathing seems normal to you also.

Finally, when I moved from Colorado back to “flatland”, to Florida that is,  I ballooned up by about thirty pounds very quickly.  Just walking to work for a few blocks every day kept me at a decent weight while I lived there. Hiking or other activities on some weekends helped too.
