Jensen Shines With The Pass
October 1st, 2020It seems Bucs center Ryan Jensen excels in three areas.
If you follow Jensen on social media, you are probably aware that Jensen is rather adept at cooking meat on an open fire. Joe guesses the second element would be eating said meat.
The third category Jensen does well is pass block. Per NextGen stats by way of BSPN, it seems Jensen is one of the best pass-blocking centers in the NFL.
Again, per NextGen stats, Jensen’s “win rate,” or the percentage of times he has a successful block of a defender when squaring up on someone across the line, is 97 percent. That’s pretty damn good and good enough for fourth-best in the NFL among centers.
NextGen stats are tabulated with data gathered by sensors on players’ equipment, and they note the only centers who pass block better than Jensen are Brandon Linder of the Jags, Erik McCoy of the Saints and Jason Kelce of the Eagles.
Not factored in with Jensen’s pass-blocking stats is his ornery, play-past-the-whistle edge, which might just bump him up a spot or two.

It’s good to know we got this guy front and center protecting Brady. Tough, gritty and in your face kind of player. I believe one of the best in the league. Even with his sweaty asscrack (not my words, Brady said something not that sort…..lol), we need to appreciate this guy.

Heard he packs an extra towel to help to deal with his “schwetty balls”
Don’t want to jinx him but he’s durable also….

sounds like he should set up a BBQ with Mankins for Smith ; )

Brad no it sounds like he should set up a BBQ with some fans at a tailgate………but no, we all might be diseased and may infect his whole BBQ and we all should be scared to be around another and if we all wear muzzles its not enough.
I think we should administer health checks(anual of course) to determine who is safe and not safe to assicoiate with and we should go nowwhere near anybody who is unsafe.
I just wanna be safe. Im dont know how to stay safe so the rules should tell me how.
Just let us all follow all the rules and when BBQs are safe we will all know.

Hey Joe,
I’d like to know how Jensen does against Vea in practice?
Vea can clear out a center with one arm. Jensen’s a big, fiery man, with serious skill.
What have you seen when they go 1:1? What do they think about one another?

RoJo averages over 4 yards per carry, and had some key carries in the 4th quarter last week to run the clock and seal the win.
Maybe just give him the ball more than 8 – 11 times a game?

Every long run I have seen Rojo make was called back on penalties.
