Alarming Update

Not seen at practice today.
UPDATED: 12:04 p.m. – So the Bucs will be down Pro Bowl wide receiver Chris Godwin. Now Bucs fans have to be worried about another receiver’s availability.
Per Eduardo Encina of the Tampa Bay Times, park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring Bucs quarterback Tom Brady’s new BFF, Scotty Miller, is not at practice this morning.
The Bucs will update what is going on with Miller when Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians speaks later this afternoon. Hopefully, he just had a dentist appointment or had to close on a new condo or something like that.
If the Bucs are down Godwin and Miller, that is not good news. Miller leads the Bucs in receiving yards. You can be sure Mike Evans will get blanketed by the Chargers.
Good news here for the Bucs is that the Chargers are down two starters in their secondary, Chris Harris and Derwin James — Derwin James!
Justin Watson is back at practice for the Bucs.
Addendum: Jenna Laine of ESPN reports that cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting is not practicing either, however his status for Sunday’s game against the Chargers, she writes, is still unknown.

It wont shock me if the kid out of Minnesota has a big game. Brady will take what the defense gives and my guess is Evans gets doubled, Gronk/TEs get attention….leaving the rookie in one on one. RBs should also have some space to move the chains. With Brady running things, the offense creates a pick your poison scenario for the defense. Teams cant simply dare Brady to throw the way they did with Winston. That formula wont work….Brady will find the open player and manage the game properly.

Time for Justin Watson and Tyler Johnson to get some snaps and produce. Maybe we rely on the TEs and RBs (catch as well as run) more as well.

Paul, I know you bother some of the other posters with your consistency, but I appreciate it. I wonder if Joe picked up this bad habit in school, when the teacher told you how many words you had to write, he would go all Peter King on it to get his word count.
You can always tell which Joe wrote the article, the other Joe doesn’t do that crap. Oh, and thankfully neither does Intern Zack, who has a solid writing style btw.
Time for TU to get going. I think Watson is approaching journeyman status.

WR depth was the weakest part of this team, does anyone here even know who the #3 WR was at the end of last year? Tyler Johnson was a 5th rounder and people acted like he’d step in day one and be a started if needed.
Arians needs to trade for someone, you can’t go “all-in” and start the Ryan Smith of the offense at WR (Watson).
Here’s my idea, trade Brate to Jacksonville (they lost their starting TE) for Dede Westbrook who isn’t being used. Westbrook is coming off back to back seasons of 66 catches and would at least be an NFL level #3 or #4 WR. Also this could free up about $3m in salary. The Bucs could throw in a pick if they needed to.
Licht needs to do something, or Arians needs to use the TEs a hell of a lot more.

On a blog page Where everyone uses fake aliases, including Joe. Do I find Joe’s sarcasm funny? Meh. But it’s certainly his right to write what he wants, and irk people if he so desires. What’s really annoying is you whining about it every day.
In the grand scheme of things it’s not that big a deal. I think we all know Tom Brady is great and Jameis Winston wasn’t. It’s called sarcasm. Just think of Joe as drunk uncle if it makes you feel better.
