Mike Evans Upgraded
September 12th, 2020Yesterday, Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians suggested Saturday would be a key day.
Arians said that after Mike Evans practiced for the first time on Friday trying to recover from a hamstring issue, the Bucs would like to see how the injury responded overnight following the limited workout
It seems the answer is good and the hamstring responded damned well. As a result, the Bucs have upgraded Evans’ status for the first game of the season tomorrow in New Orleans from “doubtful” to “questionable.”
Joe is just going to assume this news will make your Saturday.

Gotta shift the draft kings line up a bit🤣

With Evan’s hammy history I would sit him out this game. The team needs him for the long haul.

Even if Evans is only 50%, just having him on the field will cause some concerns for the Saints and should help open up things for other players.
September 12th, 2020 at 11:36 am
Joe, is it the same hamstring he tore last year?
September 12th, 2020 at 11:38 am
I’d personally rather he sit, because you do not F with a hammy. Get an extra week of rest on it and see where we are next week.
September 12th, 2020 at 11:38 am
Even if you just target him in the red zone he should be ok. Just don’t have him running go routes, that’s Miller’s job.

Even if Evans crawls his routes, NO will have to pay attention to him…..play him.
September 12th, 2020 at 11:58 am
If he does play I hope he doesn’t tweak his hamstring.

What if it’s just a smoke screen? Playing games with NO strategies to stops our offense…

Every year.

Oh man. He is key. He doesnt get enough credit here and its sad.
People claim his YAC sucked…he whines to much…let jameis down…
Give me a damn break.
One more year of 1000 yards and he is first and only receiver in NFL history to have 7 consecutive 1,000 yard seasons receiving.
Jerry rice nor randy moss
Think about that.

“Hammy might be our #2 reciever now. Lattimore might shift to Godwin
Betting like 3.5 doesnt look good for the Bucs
Millions more being bet on the Bucs and betting line doesnt even drop to 3
Bookies want sheep to bet on the Bucs
Kobe sees a tongue lashing by Brady toward Leftwich at the beginning of the 4th quarter”
Kobe Faker

The dude has never had fewer than 1000 yards receiving in any season in his career, and yet some schmoes are still whining. Very glad the moronia is limited to ignorant fans and not coaches, management and ownership.

Smoke Screen. đź’¨

I’m thinking “miraculous recovery” by kickoff too. Brady probably sat Bucco Bruce down and said something like “back when I had this head coach we’ll call Bill B we would often use some grey area with injury reports as a strategic tool to keep opponents guessing”
September 12th, 2020 at 2:18 pm
I would sit Evans, not a good idea to push him, hamstring injuries when not fully healed can last for weeks. I don’t think it would’ve mattered if Evans played anyway, Lattimore historically have kept him check.
September 12th, 2020 at 2:53 pm
Only thing I don’t like about Mike Evans…..his hamstrings. Hope he plays though
September 12th, 2020 at 4:49 pm
Knew it! Make it just a little bit harder for the Sainst to game plan!
September 12th, 2020 at 8:05 pm
more of a decoy than a no. 1 receiver tomorrow…
also see if godwin is a true no. 1 for a minute

Good news, hopefully he plays.
From what I read on Friday, it sounded terrible. But this morning I heard the audio of Arians talking about him and the tone was completely different than what I took from what was written. To me, from his tone, it sounded like Arians was saying he’ll probably be out there.
Hopefully that is the case, WR depth is only behind QB depth in terms of what would kill the team (unless Arians switches up from last year and used his TEs more).
