Stiffness Gone
August 20th, 2020Bucco Bruce Arians was talking about Rob Gronkowski after this morning’s practice.
For those who forgot, Gronkowski was last seen on a game field winning a Super Bowl, and we all remember what his brother said happened next.
Gronk could barely walk and was not up for celebrating.
“Afterwards, I thought we were going to celebrate,” Chris Gronkowski said. “The celebration was us walking him the bathroom to take a p!ss because he couldn’t walk from [a] hit he took in the second quarter. “
The future Hall of Fame tight end’s body was battered through the season, which led to him walking away from the game into the FOX Sports TV studio and professional wrestling.
Now he’s back and doesn’t resemble the beaten down Patriot.
“He doesn’t have a gigantic elbow brace on. He’s moving. He’s running fast again,” Arians said. “He’s got great body control. Some of the things, the stiffness I saw at the end of his career with all the injuries looks like it’s gone.
Gronk says he’s feeling great, too, and he doesn’t want to hear about anyone managing his snaps.

Right. This wasn’t a year of retirement, it was a year of healing his body and getting ready to play as physical as he does. Love it. Go Bucs!

Time for the trolls to show up. Ignore them please. Go Bucs!

The Gronk is going to be throwing down a lot of spikes in the end zone this season!

This dude has been one of the most physically imposing players of our generation. Has their ever even been a flaw in this guys game? Unreal………..If we get the same Gronk we all been watching for years the Saints outta just forfeit right now! They really dont have a chance!
I arent lyin

I was skeptical of the Gronk trade because we had 2 good TEs and we had other needs we could have filled with the $10 mil & 4th round pick…..but if it makes Brady more comfortable and our offense more potent, then I’m on board.
I still think we need to trade either OJ or Brate.

Be careful with him.

TBBF…….And also Gronk is a great NFL player and one you can win a Championship with. Not sure I can say that just yet about any other TE here. Not sure you can put a price on that either.

I’m really excited to have him for the run game, should be a big improvement next to Wirfs or Smith in run formations.

Healthy gronk is easily the second best player on the offense and will make it that much easier for evans and godwin!

Arians historically has never used tight ends, except as blockers.
Let’s all hope Arians can adapt to having a real game changing weapon like Gronk.

I’ll put a paycheck on Gronk not completing the season. He has not..completed one since 2011.

Sheet, bucci bruce better use him to block. The man is an incredible run blocker, and if he only puts him in on passing downs that’s a huge tell to the defense. You almost gotta play him as much as possible, if that means him just taking a couple games off here and there against lesser opponents, so be it. 80% gronk in 10 games or 35% gronk in 16, let the man earn his paycheck.

I was skeptical at first because his childish behavior off the field always annoyed me and he was extremely beaten up. But from the pictures I have seen and from what people are saying, he has slimmed down, is in great shape and feeling healthy.
This offense is going to be deadly!
Evans, Godwin, Gronk, Howard, Watson, Brate…
Are you going to try to let linebackers run with these guys?
Are you going to try to put DBs on their size?
This receiving corps is going to really open things up for running the ball
