Vita Vea Arrives With Arm Wrapped
July 29th, 2020It was understood Vita Vea had a mishap this summer that required a procedure on his right hand. Now there is some proof.
Vea reported to the weird and hopefully never matched Bucs Training Camp 2020 this morning and eagle-eyed Bob Hansen and Dan Lucas of WFLA-TV Channel 8 caught Vea arriving with some sort of wrap or cast around his right arm/hand.
You can see the photo here.
Vea, who is on the cusp of being perhaps one of the best defensive tackles this side of Aaron Donald, is expected to miss time in training camp but be ready to rock and roll come Opening Sunday in the Superdome.

Dude just keeps finding ways to miss camp.
July 29th, 2020 at 10:49 am
Well if you let Big Racist tell it Vea is prolly hurt because we were the LAST team in the NFL to realize Mr. 5000 wasn’t a starter and let him go.

JW is a starter- you’ll see in time
July 29th, 2020 at 10:58 am
And Vea needs way more sacks to be in the same conversation as Donald
July 29th, 2020 at 11:03 am
Vea is not Donald. He’s not going to have those sack numbers. And stop with the use of the word “racist” for every opinion you disagree with. It’s lazy.

Clean House really stats stats stats vea dominates the gms y’all always run to stats for support. That comes from poor leadership cult follower run back to your daddy on Twitter.

“JW is a starter- you’ll see in time”
LOL! The man had five years, chance after chance that he didn’t earn, and demonstrated to all 32 teams that he’s not a starter. Check your sheet!
Not going to happen. Oh, he may start a game here and there, but he will never be a starter. It is good for him there is no preseason…where he’d be in games throwing to below average receivers who will never bail him out like the receivers here did.
July 29th, 2020 at 11:23 am
I’m not quite ready to heap such accolades on Vea yet. He’s doing well, but he’s not proven to be resilient or consistent. Yet.
July 29th, 2020 at 11:25 am
I thought the story was about Vea
July 29th, 2020 at 11:31 am
C.H.
You MAY be right anything is possible. But IF JW ends up as a starter he won’t be viewed as somebody who slipped through the cracks…or somebody the fans misjudged. He’ll be viewed as an INCREDIBLE example…maybe the best ever…of a player who turned a trash career into a successful one.
JW seems like a nice guy…I got no problem with him starting and starring. It won’t change the fact that it was time for him to go. It’ll simply be props for JW to reclaim a career from the dead.
July 29th, 2020 at 11:33 am
That is three for three of injuries at the start of camp… at least he is consistent
July 29th, 2020 at 11:38 am
DT’s aren’t supposed to rack up sacks….
Clean House…you don’t know much do you?
July 29th, 2020 at 11:39 am
At clean house
yes, starter for a 5-11 football team!
i gotta admit, he would be/currently is a top tier back up
July 29th, 2020 at 11:50 am
Clean house, with all due respect, do you know what are you talking about?
July 29th, 2020 at 12:13 pm
Vea needs to show consistency and availability, most of all. He’s dominant in games but seems to be rotated at an interval more in line with a part-time starter. As a 1st rounder, I really expect him to be in the game more. Maybe it’s a conditioning thing?
Get well big fella! We need you.

Why are all these stories of late being hijacked by Saints player talk?!
Unless I missed something, Winston plays for the Saints.

Looks like he punched a wall, maybe? I’ve got a broken knuckle from years ago that I wish I could afford to fix.
July 29th, 2020 at 1:51 pm
“Our 2 down JAFG
Just a Fat Guy
Goes to the sideline and replaced every 3ed down
And he is similar to Donald?
Chargers wouldn’t trade Derwin James for Vea, 1st and 2nd round pick

Bucsfanman, because Ndog is back and he gives the others courage to come back with the same old takes.

Heard — but cannot confirm — Vea injured his hand in a weight room.
July 29th, 2020 at 4:45 pm
Starting to think Vea is a..spinmaster when it comes to missing training camps.
He’s always got an..injury pretext to hide behind.
July 29th, 2020 at 7:14 pm
Joe where did you hear he injured it in the weight room? Looks like a tiny brace that what looks like he’s taking off walking into OBP. stay on it for us Joe.
July 29th, 2020 at 8:02 pm
He’s a big guy that will be ready to go when the real bullets start flying (if they do).
July 29th, 2020 at 9:20 pm
That’s a splint that has Velcro ties to tighten it. I have a very similar one just had hand surgery. I’m just supposed to wear mine when I’m sleeping.

Gdog:
Thanks for the info!
July 29th, 2020 at 11:22 pm
He’ll continue to be a beast.

It sure is a strange coincidence. Again!

Geez. Yeah, training camp stinks but man, Joe has never met a dude who injured his hand so bad he had to have surgery or a guy blowing his knee just so he can skip training camp.
This isn’t “Platoon” where dudes were stabbing themselves with bayonets so they could get out of combat and not get their legs blown off.
