Ex-CB Has Godwin & Evans’ Backs

Former CB has their backs
It was a fun Monday.
First, park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-invading Bucs quarterback Tom Brady was in the house known as One Buc Palace.
Even though photos the team released on social media proved it, still, it was hard to believe the six-time Super Bowl-winner actually was there. Maybe that’s why he wore a mask?
Monday was also fun because Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans put another Pro Bowl receiver in his place on social media.
Chargers receiver Keenan Allen whined on Twitter that he was ranked No. 77 in NFL Network’s top-100. Allen was peeved that his ranking (likely) was below Bucs receivers Chris Godwin and Evans (only 100-71 were released). In fact, Allen couldn’t even spell Godwin’s name.
Evans, in so many words, told Allen to chill because he’s not on Evans’ level. LOL!
And a former cornerback who never played for the Bucs came to the defense of Evans and Godwin.
Charles James II last played in the NFL in 2017 on the Jags’ practice squad. And he remembers having to defend both Evans and Godwin in a controlled scrimmage.

This just proves Allen was out of line Sunday night when he cried about his ranking. Allen is so wrong that not only Evans told him to pipe down, so too did a guy who has been out of the league for three seasons.

When I read this, I was going to comment how he opened himself up to get killed on twitter.
Then, I read his comment. His humility will disarm detractors, and is also a trait of good character!

These prima donnas worried about where they are ranked on a list is laughable to me. Boo-hoo, you’re #77!
Besides, why ME13 and Godwin? There are a half dozen other WRs in the NFL that are so overrated, it’s not even funny. Oh, that’s right. He did have that ONE catch though!

i remember them lighting up the Jags secondary too. So much so it inspired Licht’s best FA signing ever, lazy Swaggy, to call out the Jags as perennial losers. Jags got the last laugh on that one as the Bucs sucked and Jags made the playoffs that year.

Charles James II is credible!! Mind you I don’t think that included Jalen Ramsey at the time, but did include A.J. Bouye, who was All-Pro that year.
