“I Finally Feel Like I Got My Legs Up Under Me”

While rookie Tampa Bay running back Ke’Shawn Vaughn can’t wait to silence the doubters, Ronald Jones is talking a big game, too.
During his recent visit to the The Fantasy Typhoon Studios, RoJo said he’s pleased with how his evolution has met opportunity.
“Better than ever,” RoJo said about how he feels. “Another year of, you know, maturing in the league. I finally feel like I got my legs up under me. I feel a lot better going into Year 3.”
Rojo added that he’s been waiting for the chance to the No. 1 back and now he’s the guy.
Joe would argue that RoJo had every chance to be the No. 1 back last season, but Bucco Bruce Arians granted RoJo only 80 carries in the final eight games of a lost season.
Regardless, that’s old news and now RoJo is the veteran presence in the Bucs’ running backs room. “Weird to think about,” is how RoJo described that fact.
It’s been a busy offseason for the Bucs’ third-year back, who said he had been up early training and running lots of hills in Arizona, followed by breakfast and racking up five hours of training by the end of each day. RoJo said he has sent Tom Brady his training videos from Arizona and Brady would respond with feedback on route running, etc.
All the work has left RoJo with a 225-pound body he loves. “I like that number. It’s right there, perfect for me right now. I got more explosive, so definitely more power and a lot more strength,” he said.
On adding Brady and Rob Gronkowski, RoJo said, “this season is destined for something special.”
If you missed it, RoJo also talked about how Tom Brady has stuff “up his sleeve.”

Nothing better than competetion in a position to bring out the best. RoJo is at a disadvantage so far because he’s got two years under him, and therefore, a record…that is not very good. While he hasn’t carried the ball a lot he is not known for pass catching ability–he’s not demonstrated he’s the guy to have in the game as a “go to” option for clutch situations or otherwise. Overall, Vaughn should not talk about what he can do, and just perform at camp and let his play speak for itself. The job can likely be his. I’d love to see both do great and give BA a hard choice.

Here is the perfect opportunity to add: If Rojo had just 15 carries per game at his 4.2 yards per carry, he would have achieved 1008 yards.

ROJO and Vaughn will be productive in offense with Brady at the helm. I think this will be a break out year for ROJO and I am very eager to see how Vaughn plays at the NFL level.

Absolutely RoJo will flourish this year (absent the “Sickness) He really showed flashes last year and should have been the bellcow back by mid-season. Shame on you Bucco Bruce and Coach Leftwhich.

Prediction:
Rojo will be a Top-5 RB in the NFL for the next 5+ seasons.

I predict that ROJO will have a pro bowl caliber season I cannot wait to see him play. I am actually more excited to see him there anybody else on the roster. I watched some of his film from last year and the way he shakes defenders in traffic is amazing. And then, after he shakes them he turns the burners on so quickly. Very elusive good moves. With added explosiveness, he is going to be great this

As long as they all get on the same page and get the timing down, I think the entire offense is going to shine. Rojo may not be the ‘bellcow’ everyone is looking for, but he and Vaughn have a chance to both produce more than 1000 all purpose yards each.
Record busting numbers for the entire offense. Now wouldn’t that be nice?

Wow, up 17 pound from his listed weight from last year. Can’t wait to see if a bulked up ROJO is the answer.
He certainly has not shied away from putting in the work. Here is hoping for the best! Perhaps, his third year will be the charm.

Excited to see what a 225-pound Rojo will bring. If he hasn’t lost any speed, he’ll be a dominate 1st and 2nd down RB. I doubt he make the cut of a 3rd down back due to his hands and blocking skill. Hope I am wrong and Rojo becomes a complete back. Sounds like he’s finally taking being a pro serious. Go Rojo!

When we drafted Ronald he was only 20 years old. His body was far from mature as a rookie. Three years in and now he’s got that grown man weight and frame. He should be explosive this year. I’m predicting 1200-1300 8 -10 tds.

If Rojo’s truly more explosive at 225lbs. like he says that could be scary for opposing defenses. He’s only gotten better so I expect that trend to continue at 225lbs.
I like Vaughns confidence and I believe him. I’d rather him play with a chip on his shoulder so he keeps an edge.
