Bucs Eyeing A QB?

UPDATE: 12:50 p.m. – Jacob Eason was drafted by the Colts late in Round 4.
With no fourth-round picks (for now), might the Bucs looking at a steal if the guy falls towards the end of the fourth round or into the fifth?
Joe has maintained it would be a smart decision to bring in a rookie quarterback the team really likes, let him be groomed by the best quarterback coaches in the NFL and learn from Tom Brady for a couple of years.
Per Albert Breer of SI.com, he hears the Bucs are linked to a quarterback some had going as high as the second round.

Joe thinks this would be a cool move. But is it cool enough to trade up into the fourth round? The way Joe looks at it, sixth- and seventh-round picks, you can pretty much blow your nose with them.

The knock on Eason is he falls apart under pressure. Can that be coached out of him? If so, could be a steal.

Eason has elite arm talent, maybe Tom can teach him the rest. If not I’m on the Morgan train!

Book me seat right beside you Godlovesbucs. Morgan is very interesting to me and I doubt we have to move up to get him. Like Jimmy G, comes from a small school and in his third year, could be something to behold after two years learning from Tom Brady.

Fromm is Brady Lite. Just warning you. He’s got a great pedigree, brilliant football mind, and unlike Mr. 30 for 30 INTston, doesn’t turn the ball over. We need a smart QB and Eason couldn’t even beat him out at UGA.

Eason would be great if we can trade O.J. and grab some more picks. We still need DL depth and more competition for that #3 we spot. People say don’t draft a punter but if Matt Turk is still there in the 7th draft him and cut Pinion to save some $$. A 7th rd Pinter has a better shot at making it than most other positions

DaBux, didn’t eason win the spot but get hurt? Pretty sure he started in 16 and 17, but got hurt early in 2017. Then he lost his starting position, causing him to transfer to Washington.

If it turns out to be Fromm, I could live with that..

I think from would be the perfect type of quarterback to sit and watch and learn under Brady. He basically is Brady out of college- not the biggest arm, but very accurate and very smart.
He improved his entire career (except a bad 3 game stretch last season) and was more than a game manager when called upon.
He just strikes me as the type of guy that will get better and better.
That said….
They don’t have anything to trade up to get him with. Still waiting on a draft pick for an OJ Howard trade

Please let me know the mid to late round QBs the Patriots drafted and became franchise QBs after spending time with Brady. This fallacy that QBs with tons of flaws will be come stars because they sat behind Brady is WAAAAAAY overblown.

I’m glad we didn’t get eason.i do like Fromm but don’t see him coming by here, he’s a patriot guy. If they pass on him late then his shoulder is an issue.
I don’t get how the Vaughan pick was hated. Biggest issue be to me was why the low draft rating in the first place. H seems to be a fit for our needs. He sliced up the Carolina coach and we play them twice a year.
I guess next year is the rb year this will do for now

I wanted a QB (Eason in Rnd 4 would have been excellent imo…oh well), but the team has definitely shown they’re not worried about life after Brady. 2020 is all chips on the table, there’s two years to hoist the Lombardi or blow it up when the next regime takes over. Three guys who will likely be on the field contributing this year and Gronk.
