Brady Gives Back To Tampa Bay

Joe generally doesn’t write about charitable efforts of players for one simple reason: Fans care about wins.
Also, just about every player has a charity of some sort they work with and many donate anonymously. Yes, some are more active in the community than others.
About the only time Joe can remember writing about players and the community was when Clinton McDonald and Mr. Entertainment, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, bought food trucks and served people food in St. Petersburg after Hurricane Irma tore up the city. The effort allowed folks who were without power for days to have a hot meal on the house.
Joe thought that was extraordinary and beyond thoughtful, hence the story.
So the only reason Joe is bringing readers the following is that new quarterback Tom Brady is wasting no time making his presence felt in Tampa Bay.
Per Chelsea Tatham of WTSP-TV Channel 10, Brady and his model wife, Gisele Bündchen, have donated cash to buy 750,000 meals for needy families throughout the Tampa Bay area. Given the economic fallout from [national advertisers don’t like that word] and so many not working, Tatham points out the requests for meals from the charity have grown.
Hell, the sheets in Derek Jeter’s house haven’t yet been changed since Brady and his wife moved in and Gisele likely doesn’t even know how to get to International Plaza, and already Brady and his wife are helping out those in need.
That’s pretty cool in Joe’s eyes.

Fans care about good people too. Some even buy Warrick Dunn jerseys but not Aqib Talibs, among others. Too many bad people and nobody will care if they lose. Keep those stories coming.

I never liked the Patriots because they win so much probably but I never could dislike Tom Brady. He just seemed to nice and too genuine. Heard him on Stern today but I have to say forget the QB part, we could have a better person for our offensive leader right now. I think things are going to brighten in this town and I think Tom Brady even at his age is going to great things for the Bucs!!!!

Mr.Brady has always been charitable….but things are in a different uproar this time. Thank you Sir! The GOAT at much more than just football. Thank you God for landing this gift on our team.

I didn’t know that story about Jameis. Say what you want about him, his past, and of course the int’s, but the guy did a lot of great things to help people. Too bad these players aren’t appreciated more for how they contribute in that way.

Joe, thanks for the story. I don’t know why some readers are so upset about it. Probably because they are Saints fans posing as Buc fans and just want to stir the pot. Some people just have to be negative all the time.
If you were hungry and this donation put food on your table, maybe you would feel differently.
It’s important to me to hear about things like this. Joe, your site is helping us keep our sanity during this time of upheaval and uncertainty.

Joe, Good story. I heard TB on Stern and I was really impressed. I never listened to him before because he was the enemy. Just his presence In the Tampa area will make a difference. Looks like the negative comments are from people stuck at home eating too much sugary cereals.
