Brady Would Equal At Least 5 Night Games
March 16th, 2020You want attention for your beloved Buccaneers?
A Tom Brady signing would mean loads of it.
Joe is all jacked up tonight fantasizing about what Brady would mean to the Buccaneers’ regular season schedule, if he were to be signed.
Television networks have a major hand in crafting the league schedule, which will be released in about a month, and they would all be fighting to air Brady/Bucs games.
The Bucs host the Chiefs and Packers this season. Joe would guarantee those would be on Monday and/or Sunday Night Football.
How about the Bucs at the Saints on the road and Tampa Bay at the New York Giants? Those would be fantastic bets for night games as well.
A fifth Thursday night game? Joe would wager on a Bucs-Falcons game, home or away. The NFL likes to limit travel in those games and the Bucs and Atlanta have had their share of Thursday fun.
Joe knows of no NFL rule that would prevent a sixth night game on the initial schedule. Multiple teams had that many in 2017.
How fun it would be to have the Bucs relevant again!
However, it would all be moot if the incessant losing continued. The Brady story would be sexy, but the Bucs starting out 3-5 or worse again (something they’ve done since 2012) would put that fire out in a hurry.

Bucs are getting too desperate for a short time success. Brady with this OL he won’t last the season.
March 16th, 2020 at 12:17 am
And Jennifer Aniston could get me on TV too.
C’mon Joe – there’s so much pure sensationalism in this Brady to the Bucs nonsense. Listen to Phil Simms, the article you already posted – that’s all you need to read. All this other BS – if it happened, it’s a one year thing. Because Brady is 43 and can’t and won’t take a pounding.
March 16th, 2020 at 12:18 am
I gotta be honest, Brady to the Bucs scares the ever loving $h!t outta me. Not bc he’s almost 43 but our o line will literally get him killed. Not injured, killed! If Bucs don’t keep JW, I’d like to see teddy or perhaps a trade for Carr.
March 16th, 2020 at 12:20 am
And all that exposure in uniforms that doesn’t look like children designed them…
That is something to get hyped up about.
March 16th, 2020 at 12:24 am
We are not getting Brady. Hypothetically speaking however, Brady is worth 5 more wins than last year, if (huge, massive if) he can stay healthy behind our slightly above average offensive line. You Joe’s are starting to get my hopes up, but I’m not taking the bait. 😜
March 16th, 2020 at 12:25 am
Meh. When Belichek lets a player go it’s a bad sign.
The word is he’s lost a step and Hoodie has better options.
This smells like a short term desperation move to sell a few
tickets and generate a little buzz……even if it’s just rubber
neckers wanting to watch Brady go out in flames behind Tampa’s
always suspect olines.
Take a good look: This is classic dysfunctional low standard Bucs.
Give up ona young guy with real upside and talent for a short term
bandaid has-been………..well……at least this way they don’thave to work as hard…….you know…..building a legit culture and developing players like Hoodie does……….say what you will about the Hoodie, but he’s not afraid of hard work
March 16th, 2020 at 12:26 am
@ Bucsfan951 and Chameleon56
Exactly
March 16th, 2020 at 12:29 am
Only embarrassing, idiotic, loser organizations make decisions based on TV appearances.
And if they had any brains if they really cared about eye balls then they would look more than 1-2 years out cause we will be non-existent once both Brady and Arains bail. How much national attention did the Cardinals get the last two years after Arains left them in shambles?
Again if this happens we can all just give up cause it’s 100% proof this organization simply doesn’t get it.
March 16th, 2020 at 12:33 am
Sign Brady ASAP!!!
As I said before, signing Brady would be a huge coup for the Bucs and would be a great big positive for the team and the entire organization as a whole. Plus today I heard some NFL folks talking about what signing Brady would do for the Tampa economy and local businesses.
It would be fantastic for the Bucs to be relevant again. The eyes of the entire sports would would be on Tampa Bay , and for something positive this time
March 16th, 2020 at 12:35 am
NPUPPY!!! You never answered my question from our last conversation
March 16th, 2020 at 12:41 am
Can’t imagine cheering for a Brady touchdown for the first time in my life, dare to dream!
March 16th, 2020 at 12:41 am
Let’s see. Average club seat is what, $250-300? Upper deck, what do those go for? $80? So, they will need to sell roughly 20,000-25,000 more seats per game to cover Brady’s salary.
March 16th, 2020 at 12:49 am
5 night games , maybe 1 night game and then a huge disappointment when Brady goes down with a blown out knee or some other injury behind this dreadful offensive line. Fix the damn O’line!
March 16th, 2020 at 12:51 am
Ndog is still crying about Jameis … this is getting pretty sad
March 16th, 2020 at 1:03 am
@steel: yeah it’s a funny thing to read. About 90% of the stuff he says, anyone is able to debunk it. He types what ever he’s thinking at the moment. As soon as you present him with facts, he stops the conversation. It’s actually quite funny. Even my wife gets a laugh out of him. Im sure he’s a good dude. Just very passionate about JW.
March 16th, 2020 at 1:06 am
Somebody here says Brady would equal 5 more Wins? Please..may I have some of the stuff you puffin on? I cannot believe you desperate guys do not see Brady is about done. Where is he gonna run? The guy went virtually untouched in NE until the last couple of years. He will get hit here..and hard in Buc Country behind our line. And he will go down…at least for a few games during the season. Stop grasping for straws and stay the course Bucs. You see them Titans came to their senses in a hurry, I hope we do also before we spend big time cap space money on a has been.
March 16th, 2020 at 1:07 am
So far as the oline, we get extra on the roster for the oline, plus we’ll probably draft it. So really, it could be good enough.
March 16th, 2020 at 1:11 am
Brady is about done. He might last 2 more years.
But if they plan to draft a QB (like Tua), that won’t matter.
I’m not against Brady coming. I think he would do more than change a culture which is already changing. He would bring a player expectation to win.
But do I believe it will hapoen? Nope.
March 16th, 2020 at 1:12 am
Brady’s decline is the subject of every September for the past 5 seasons. I’m certain the NFL would find a way to make storyline work
March 16th, 2020 at 1:13 am
Pppfffttt… when you rake in as much TV cash as the NFL does, Glazers have enough resources to pay Brady dozens of times over. Gate receipts are chickenfeed by comparison.
Gate revenue accounts for less than 17 percent of NFL’s gross revenue.
March 16th, 2020 at 1:32 am
With this defense we have , or will have …. it would be a embarrassing. I can see Brady pissed off the defense gave up a TD in 2minutes.
Also , who would call the play in offense ? Leftwich ? Bruce ? Or Brady ?
If Brady calls them why have leftwhich ?
If Brady is the coach , why have Bruce ?
I kinda want to see this comedy.
March 16th, 2020 at 1:38 am
Can’t be any funnier than watching jw for 5 years
March 16th, 2020 at 1:59 am
This was a run in the middle passing OL in 2019. Sign Brady and a good vet RT and resign who we can afford to on defense. Tag Shaq and resign LVD this year. Shaq, White, David will continue to get awesome with time.
March 16th, 2020 at 2:49 am
I think Brady is only using Bucs as leverage for a big deal from Pats.
March 16th, 2020 at 2:58 am
All this talk about how bad our O Line is….. Remember Jameis had 25 “Clean pocket interceptions”. HAHAHAHAH shows you how dumb and incorrect that stat was. Bring Jameis Back 2yr 44 mil and call it a day
March 16th, 2020 at 4:57 am
Even if the Bucs actually get this done, which I flat out do not expect to happen, but lets say it did… you know what happens… Brady gets the coronavirus, and then decides to hang it up, and retires right before the season starts. Then our backup, Mike Glennon finally gets his shot.
March 16th, 2020 at 7:21 am
Leadership and turnover margin. Two things Brady has in spades!
March 16th, 2020 at 7:22 am
Agreed. 4-5 primetime games would be a given on the schedule. So many pointlessly negative “fans” out here. As if the franchise was so perfectly set on consistent playoff season’s year in and year out before?!
The man would come in, run that locker room like a cutthroat military outfit week to week to week, commanding every ounce out of every player and coach, plus have such a drive to proove out from under the Pats, that it was more Operator than Strategist that led to the dynasty there.
Chiefs and Packers games for sure, at Saints probably, at Raiders probably due to Chucky and new buzz around building there, then either home against Rams or at Giants.
March 16th, 2020 at 7:26 am
* prove
March 16th, 2020 at 7:35 am
Brady to San Diego, franchised their TE, traded for TrainTurner(guard), got the weapons(especially if Gordon re-signs), offensive coach. So let’s just talk Jameis or Teddy
March 16th, 2020 at 7:37 am
What if Dak doesn’t get franchised?
March 16th, 2020 at 7:44 am
Michael Clayton Sports does an exposé on JW’s interceptions, it’s masterful, Joe look it up
March 16th, 2020 at 7:46 am
Jacket is almost acceptable but still unacceptable.
March 16th, 2020 at 7:57 am
I’m not for Brady coming here but, what you might see is more flags for those hits that Jameis took. So many times Jameis got hit i’m like “where is the flag?!” Brady will definitley call more flags and better field position if and when he gets hit, hypothetically.
March 16th, 2020 at 8:19 am
The movie usher coat on Licht is a good look. Looks like a solid 2nd place ( out of two teams ) in the Brady Sweepstakes. Last one up…please turn the Licht out.
March 16th, 2020 at 8:19 am
Maybe the refs will let our OL hold more to protect the GOAT! 🤣
March 16th, 2020 at 8:20 am
and a stadium half filled with Patriot blue jersey’s ..1/4 Bucs and the other 1/4 visiting team
March 16th, 2020 at 8:34 am
Brady and Winston lost to the titans but guess whoop played better. Yea Brady is old but if you look at both their last games I’ll take Brady over Mr pick 6 even 3 years from
“psychosis”— in which a person cannot tell what is real from what is imagined. The main feature of this disorder is the presence of delusions, which are unshakable beliefs in something untrue.
You nuthuggers can’t seem to get it in your head Winston is garbage otherwise like Tannehill he would be signed. For some reason you don’t get why the coach doesn’t trust him., he’s not good enough to lead a team to the playoffs simple because of turnovers
March 16th, 2020 at 8:47 am
I’m good with it. It would be great to be relevant.
March 16th, 2020 at 9:09 am
Chameleon56, I have the same feeling. I love Brady and think he has a little left in the tank but, it makes me nervous that Tampa OL is not that great, Brady seem to be short term and how much money will the Bucs have to put into the OL and Brady for this deal to work
March 16th, 2020 at 10:28 am
For all it’ll take for Brady to be successful here if we were to land him (for 2yrs) upgrade Oline and upgrading the run game if we did those same things I think Winston would thrive and it’d be longer then 2yrs. People seem to forget if Bill is ready to let a player go, that player is probably done. If it happens I’ll be cheering for TB12 but I honestly can’t see him surviving the hits that happen in this offense. I can’t lie seeing him lay into Donovan Smith for a missed block would be hilarious IF he gets up from it.
March 16th, 2020 at 11:01 am
Having to get up before dawn for work I absolutely hate night games.
March 16th, 2020 at 11:53 am
Brady is a winner. He has more than enough left in the tank and he is the kind of character the Offense needs to build the edge that JPP and Suh have brought to the Defense. We will soon know if he wants to prove once and for all that he is THE GOAT or is ready to enjoy the good life. Its been tough walking around with all my fingers and toes crossed hoping the Bucs malaise will lift…
March 16th, 2020 at 12:41 pm
if Bucs score Brady, we need a major upgrade on the o-line, Donovan Smith better play lights out without plays off, Dotson replaced and Cappa a backup–we will need to score in FA and the draft.
